Threads of Fate
Review by crazytown
"A rare gem the first time through!!!, but then..."
First of all, hi and thanx for reading my review.
This time the game I am reviewing is nothing more and nothing less than Threads of Fate, a game good enough to put you into it for a couple of weeks until you finish one of the two stories from whoever of the two characters, but I´m going too quick, so let´s start:
GAMEPLAY (9)
Yes 9, 9, and I am still giving it a 9, why you ask? Because this is a very good example of how an action-rpg game should be when you can use magic (in the case of Mint) or when you can transform into EVERY monster in the game, except, of course, bosses (in Rue´s scenario). This game also has a few secrets to discover like more powerful magic and some stats boost items and so. But the part I liked the most is that you can trigger a lot of scenes of the story by exploring and not in an automatic way, like for example final fantasy VII when you see the Aeris ghost, you can also miss it but if you see it is best right?
MUSIC AND SOUNDS (6)
Well the music is okay except for Rod´s music... is just SO good that I stayed in that room only to hear that great mix of sounds!!!!
Well, pasion apart, the sounds are not too good, they are just there because they had to.
GRAPHICS (9)
The graphics are the other best feature in this game except for its gameplay. The polygons are really really smooth, and the control over the characters feels really good. One thing that I didn´t like was that when you talk to someone, when you get away from that person you keep facing them, so when there are persons near to each other you can only talk to one of them, because you will keep facing the first person you talked to until you get really far away.
REPLAYABILITY (6)
As I said in the beginning of this review, this game will only keep you in your chair (or bed like me) until the first scenario is over, then you won´t want to start the other one because you have to go to the same places you already visited (only one exception), only different by the fact that you control the other character, so this game does NOT have a very good replayability in my opinion.
Thanx again for reading this review and I will see you soon (I hope) Oh right!!, my advise is that you should rent it and finish the first scenario (only like 10 hours) and if you liked it too much and can´t wait to play the other, then you SHOULD buy it, but only then.
