Crash Team Racing

"Racing Penquins and Polar Bears! Who doesn't love that?"

This thing is great! Never have I had so much fun in a kart racing game than in Crash Team Racing. Yes, even more than Mario Kart. This game is a 100% ripoff from Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing, but I don't care. More of a good thing, I say!

Graphics: This is a nice looking game. Simple, colorful, happy graphics. CTR doesn't use sprites, like Mario Kart, which is a plus. Also, for a game with so much going on, there is absolutly no slowdown, none, which is very impressive. Good work, Naughty Dog. 9/10

Sound: Doesn't suck, but it's not going to win any awards. The voices are well acted though, and they didn't over do it. Nothing special, but not bad. 7/10

Glitches: None. In the one week I've owned it, there was no slowdown whatsoever, and only one minor glitch that lasted only a second. 10/10

Originality: None whatsover. Nothing here is new. But I don't care. Naughty Dog took two great games(Diddy Kong Racing and Mario Kart 64), combined them, slapped the Crash Bandicoot name on it, and made it a much, much better game out of it. Also, it has superior level design to any other kart game out there. 0/10

Control: Great. Acceleration, brakes and jumping are all very well balanced. Like the rest of the game, simple, nothing really new, but it gets the job done well. 9/10

Fun Factor: This game is a blast. No earthshaking effects or graphics, but it's nice, simple and very fun to play. Multiplayer is insane. 9/10

Replay: Adventure mode will keep you busy for a while, but the thing is just so fun to play, playing time trials is a great time waster. Also there are some cool racers to unlock: Komodo Joe, Pinstripe, Ripper Roo, Papu Papu, Dr. N. Trophy, Fake Crash, and my personal favorite, Penta Penguin. 8/10

Overall: CTR is a really good game. It takes two great games and makes them into one spectacular game. Although nothing here is exactly new, I still love this game. This is simple, no ground breaking new features, but CTR is still great. Buy it. You will love this game. 9/10
