Smurf Racer!

" A good game for newbiew to the genre"

Smurf Racer is a racing(duh) which Invovles karts.If your looking for a Mario Kart64 or another Crash..sorry your not gonnna get it.BUT, If you have never played a Kart racing game this game is perfect for you, And with a steal of $10...why not?

Overview-In Smurf Racer you get to control 8 different smurfs..including 4 others you get to unlock.There are 10 courses. 3 in Smurf village,3 in the castle,3 in the Forbidden Zone, and 1 secret level to also unlock.There are 2 modes..easy and expert. While expert modes tend to be hard..in this game its just as easy as,well,easy.Throguhout the game ''brainy'' smurf speaks to you for infomation. You can choose between 1 or 2 players. While 2 players may be fun its hard to steer and troublesome to look ahead of you.

Graphics-7/10-eeh...well lets say this game isnt really focus on you viewing pleasure.The characters and there karts are one shaded figures...the courses,thoguh are pretty and tastefully done,are at least average.But whats really cool are the beginning and ending FMV's.

Game play-6/10- this game while in the first couple of hours may be fun..but after a day or two it tends to get real boring.Well theres three differnt modes.Single race,Championship Mode,and flag. In order to get the secret characters you have to get through Championship mode.Flag racing is an intresting new aspect but will get boring as time goes by. While you might think 2 player mode is fun...its rather frusturation.Steering is a drag and almost impossible to see except for some arrows to point.

Replay-3/10- after the first time you beat it in both diffuculties you'll pribably quit. But this game can come in handy to laugh around and Actually play with some of your friends.It can give you hours of laughs.

Sound-6/10-The music is great and the sounds of shooting mushrooms are great.Although it isnt the best the score i can give its still a solid 6.

Rent or Buy?- Are you kidding? Buy it. Why waste $5 renting it at a rental place for only 2 days when you could have it forever for $10!

Overall- Smurf racer is a great game for only $10 bucks.It'll keep you occupied for hours or even days.There a lot of flaws BUT it has many good features including 3 different langueages you can choose from.If your bored,want a racing game,a newbie to this genre,or a die hard Smurf fan I Realy recommending this game.
