"Can you say Tony Hawk's 1?"

Can you say Tony hawk's 1? If you can, you'll love this Activision game.

Graphics- 9.5/10

The Graphics in this game are probably some of the best for the Sony PlayStation. Their very smooth all around, with the exception of a few sketchy scenes, but that's to be expected of any game. I personally like the detail put into the bikes, especially Dennis Mccoy's first one. The ramp and dirt detail is amazing, as well as the atmosphere.

Gameplay- 8/10

The Controls for this game are somewhat above average for your sports games. Again, this part of the game is also a lot like the Tony Hawk series. They are also very easy to use, but not so easy as to be dumb. Also when you're choosing your bike for free ride or career, you can customize it, and much more than the Tony Hawk games.

Audio/Sound- 7/10

The soundtrack for this game is probably a 10/10. It's awesome, filled with Punk Rock themes. The hurtful blow to the Audio was without a doubt the mediocre sound effects. When you bail, the best the sound can do is an annoyed grunt. It's very lucky to have a killer soundtrack to save itself.

Story- 8/10

Yes, this game does have a story to it, and it's pretty okay. the levels are in very good sequence, with their size, difficulty, etc. I think the real highlights of the story are the competions. When you earn a medal (gold, silver, bronze) you unlock the next level. Again, a pretty okay story.

Replayability- 9/10

Definitely replay this game if you beat it. Go through all the levels again beating your scores, or even redo the comps
and see if you can get a silver instead of a bronze, stuff like that.

Opening Video- 10/10

Probably the best video out there. The BMXing footage is probably better than the TV footage. It shows at least 3 stunts of every awesome rider in the game. the Level videos are also completely ready to blow you away once you unlock them, and so are the rider videos.

Better than ''Tony''?

I must voice my opinion on this issue. I will probably get some flamemail for this, but I actually think that Mat Hoffman's is an overall better game than Tony Hawk's 1. If you think about it, I think you will agree with me.

Rent or Buy?: If you've ever sat on a bike, BUY.
