Whether your a causal wrestling fan, or a hardcore ECW fanatic (like me) you'll really like this game. It has pretty much everything desired in a wrestling simulator. Good wrestlers, lots of moves, and many match types. On with the review!!!

Graphics: 8
Wrestlers are decked in their signature attire and latest outfits. They all look sorta life-like and at least you can tell them apart. Even though the graphics are a bit blocky, they still look pretty darn good. There is one that I laugh at, and that is Dusty Rhodes...MAN he looks hilarious!!!

Sound: 9
From Joey Styles and Joel Gertner calling the action, to hearing your wrestlers scream in pain when they are trapped in a submission hold, the sound is awesome! Some themes couldn't be added, and that is understandable due to copy writing issues. They did add a very good New Jack theme, along with Rhino's and Mikey Whipwreck's actual themes. The sounds in the matches are excellent too, especially in the Backlot Brawl (listen closely in the background next time you play!)

Control: 8
In my honest opinion, Acclaim's engine is much better than AKI's engines. The AKI engine is much too easy to master, plus Acclaim's engine makes it so you can't cheat by doing the same moves over and over again. If you can't master this engine, then you aren't very good at wrestling games. This control is pretty good, with more counters and moves than most Playstation games. The only bad thing is the awkwardness of picking up weapons, tagging your partner, and climbing the ropes. Other than that, the control is tight!

Modes: 10
Man, oh man. This game has pretty much any match [ except Ladder :'( ] you can think of! No other game holds a lighter to this game!!! I agree, some have never been seen in ECW, but does that really matter??? I mean, as long as it's fun to play, I'm happy!

Challenge: 10
MUCH harder than Smackdown 2!!! If you put it on hard, you really have a challenge. One mistake and your on the receiving end of some high impact moves. Even on easy this game is harder than Smackdown 2 on hard!!! The career mode is friggin HARD!!!!! I used my gameshark to ''help me out'' :)

Replay: 7 (If you love ECW, it's a 10)
Lots of great modes to play, bottom line. This game is VERY addictive once you get into it!!! I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

This game is awesome! There is one regret though. The create-a-wrestler could've been updated a little better. I mean, add some more hairstyles and different eyes so you can create old and new ECW greats (I tried to create Raven, Mike Awesome, Sabu, and Taz, but they looked REALLY messed up) They should've added the parts, music, and entrances to make former ECW talent that wasn't on the game. Other than that, this game is pretty darn good!

Oh yeah, I suggest you rent this game before you buy it. Just my advice! Thanks you all, this is my first review! (Hooray for Me!)
