"This Game is Not Too Much, yet good."

Woohoo!! A new Bond game. Ever since the piece of crap known only as Tomorrow Never Dies came out, we have been anticipating a real Bond game. We wanted another produced by Rare, yet they didn't want to compile another masterpiece of video game. So, they handed the spotlight over to EA and Eurocom. ( different producers for each system )That's the only bad part about this game. Otherwise, it is fine. And now, on to my ''story'' story of my trials with this game.

The day that this game comes out

As I stood there in line waiting for the doors to open, I noticed that there were about 20 people in front of me. I noticed that they appeared like me. Blue jeans, white shirt...your average video gamer.

Finally, the doors opened. It was a race against time to get to the video game section. If I remember correctly, there was only 3 copies of the game. By the time I got to the game section, all 3 were gone, and even one of the boxes for the game. So, I strolled on over to my normal copy of Perfect Dark. I took it out and had a fun time bashing all kinds of simulants and friends alike. Yet, there was no TWINE, so there was really not fun.

5 Days later.

Now, there was not nearly as many people waiting, yet there was still the normal crowd of your average gamers waiting outside like baby bears waiting for their mom coming back from hunting.

Yet again, the doors opened and every one rushed to the video games looking for the treasure know as The World is Not Enough to be returned. Finally, the first guy came in with TWINE and a pissed off look on his face. There was one of two explanations for this. He was either (a) peeved because he had to return the game or (b)peeved because the game sucked. I would have to say that it would be (b) for him he came in. Kicked the clerk in the balls and dropped the game in the slot. Then he proceeded to storm out and drive away. As any gamers awaiting a good game, we stormed the counter, reluctantly. Once again someone else got that copy of the game. Yet for me there was no TWINE. Now, I stroll down to the N64 section for the second time in two weeks. (If I have yet to explain, they ordered the game at different times for each system due to ''out-of-stockness'' for the N64 version.) Only instead of Perfect Dark, I pick out a copy of my favorite Goldeneye. Ah....a little motivation goes a long way. Playing my favorite Bond shooter should get me motivated for The World is Not Enough. So, I have another fun week watching guards grab their balls as I shoot them with a Cougar Magnum. Yet, I remain TWINE free.

Next week, I go back just to return Goldeneye, not to rent a new game.

This time, there is no line out the door, no nerds in the store and they actually have N64 copies. (not in stock, just the boxes) Well, I head on back to the Playstation section and they actually have a copy on hand. I rush to it, pick it up, and kiss the box. I run for the counter, pay, run out and head home.

Right, as i get home, I hop on gamefaqs in search of help with this game. The board catches my eye and I say, what the hey? I thought this game was good! So, I head to the codes section....what??!! NO PBC's! Oh my God, I might just faint. I though that this was supposed to be good. So, I head over to the FAQ section....Oh, my God again...only 7 levels....OK. Small games are fine, but I wanted something big and sprawling. I play the game for my 5 days and come back with a grim face on. I wanted to play it again, yet there was a waiting list, so I couldn't. Dang.

My ''to-rent-or-to-buy'' review:

Well, I would rate this a ''better buy'' not best and not just good. But when it all comes down, you might just wanna go for the N64 version of it.
