ECW Hardcore Revolution

This was a great game, I thought it was better than WWF Attitude! Sure most people say Hardcore Revolution is an exact replica of Attitude, but I feel this game gives the gamer more of an extreme attitude while playin HR.

Graphics(9)- I can't really complain about anything in this department, everyone looks exactly like in real life. The fans still look like paper cutouts stuck on a black cardboard box, but so do Smackdown 2 fans graphics! All the moves that are pulled off are all extremely smooth, and not difficult to tell moves apart from punches like in those WCW games. The only thing that kept this section from getting a 10 is the much hyped Barbed Wire Match. I expected some hardcore razor sharp silver ropes going in a zig zag pattern across the turnbuckles but what I got is black ropes with lines hanging down 1 cm going across in a straight line. So when a wrestler runs into the ''Barbed wire'', it takes away some of the elements of a barbed wire matchup.

Gameplay(10- Wow, a major selection of customization! I believe there are more match options in HR than Attitude, with the added cage match which was not in Attitude. The CAW is just like the Attitude's one. Then comes the career mode. This is almost exactly like Attitude's career mode, because the setup is the same thing. However the matches you'll participate in are more exciting and extreme! I don't think I've gotten the same match twice for at least 1 month! Ranging from Tag Team Barbed Wire I quit match to a 3 on 1 cage match!

Sound(9)- The ''OMG'' Joey Styles person is the only commentator in the game. He doesn't say much in the game except to call out the moves, he once said OMG! after I did a regular suplex though! All the ECW wrestler's theme songs are here, which accompany them while making their entrances. The wrestlers' voices are in here too, making funny squeals and grunts while punishing the hell out of them.

Replay Value(8)- Even with all the matches, the game does tend to wear out after about 2 months playing. However the extreme gamer like me would get all cheats unlocked and win a 3 on 1 cage match before I quit this game!
