Introduction

Hotshot 2 is absolutely the best Play-Station golf game. Who said this game is only for the kids? This game combines unique game-play, hidden characters, clubs upgrades and more!

Game-play

Ok, let me begin with the game-play. You first start out with 3 characters. Each with its own strengths and weakness. To hit the long drive, you press the button X once. A color bar raises up. The higher it goes the higher and farther the ball goes. When the bar raises to the level you desire you hit X to stop it. The bar will drop down again, and you have to hit X near the bottom of the bar. That is responsible on how accurate is your shot is. This might take a while to get used too. The game is extremely realistic. There are some factors that you might see in order to make the most of your swings. For example the wind might change the direction of the ball a little bit then you intended. So if you want the ball to land in the center of the field but the wind is blowing 2 meters to the right, you might want to aim the ball a little to the left to land in ball in the center. That’s why I think the game is realistic. Now about the mode. Here are the modes in the game. Each mode is unique and fun.

*Stroke mode - where you play against your friends. The best score wins

*Match Play - up to 2 players can play. Complete for the best score on each hole

*VS mode - plays this and unlocks hidden characters!

*Training - practice the game. Such as long drive and putting

*Tournament - Be the first prize winner and grade your clubs, golf balls and other equipments!

As you can see the game would last you for a while, especial the tournament mode.

Music

The music in the game is great! There is no music during the actually game play but the music is played when your switching to different modes or you finished a hole. There are commentaries during the actually game play. For example if the ball were in the bunker, the announcer would say “it’s in the trap” or if the ball lands in the water the announcer would comment “swimming in the lake”

Graphic

The graphic in the game is decent. The golfers look 2D. There are some special effects such as the leaves falling in fall, and snowflakes falling down in winter. The environments actually change to the seasons! Each character has 2 animation which is great. One celebrating if they get a par in the hole or taunting them self if they get a Boggy.
