Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus
Review by DoofyDude
"In Odd We Trust"
In Abe's Exoddus, you do basically do the same thing that you do in Abe's Oddysee. You have to save victoms with infinite lives and no weapons. The only way through is to use communication. The gameplay in Abe's Exoddus and Abe's Oddysee is real fun and challenging. Abe's Exoddus is more fun and challenging than it's prequel. Not only is it more fun and challenging, it also got new stuff. There's new enemies. They are flying sligs, sloggies, fleeches, shrykulls, slurgs, greeters, and crawling sligs. You can possess all of the enemies now instead of just one which was the slig. You can now also have more than one mudokon following you and the mudokons have real emotions like angry, crazy, depressed, sick, and even blind. You have to smack crazy mudokons, say sorry to angry and depressed mudokons, heal sick mudokons, and guide blind mudokons. There's also new words that Abe says. Saving is a whole lot better, too. In Abe's Oddysee, when you save you don't get to start back at the same exact place you saved at. In Abe's Exoddus, you do. There's also a new quick save feature which lets you save any where real fast. But when you use quick save, it doesn't save on your memory card which means when you're about to stop playing, remember to save on your memory card. The graphics are a bit better than the ones in Abe's Oddysee. The sounds sound so realistic just as they were in Abe's Oddysee. The controls are basically the same as there were in Abe's Oddysee. The story of course is different. After saving 99 mudokons from rupture farms in Abe's Oddysee, Abe falls down a cliff and becomes unconscious. While he's unconscious, he sees sirits and they're telling him that glukkons are digging up their bones so they can use it for a drink called soul storm brew.
Gameplay: 10/10
Graphics 10/10
Sound: 10/10
Story: 10/10
Controls: 10/10
Replay Value: 8/10
There's nothing really else to do after you beat this game unless you didn't save all 300 mudokons. If you didn't, then you should start the game over again after you beat it.
Overall: 10/10
This game is really fun and challenging and would even make you laugh. If you didn't like the first Oddworld, you still might like this game so you should buy or rent this game and you will definetly not be disapointed. It's only about 10 to 20 dollars.
