"a great game, reminded me of the awesome Landstalker for the genesis. But there is downsides."

Alundra is what really no other RPG game is for the playstation. It plays like zelda but graphics look more to me like Landstalker, which isn't surprising by the fact it was made from the same compony.

----The Past---

Landstalker is one of my faverite games of all systems. I played it night and day when i had it, nothing would stop me. The graphics were not all that good but boy did the fun of that game destroy that fact. I was in my own world when i played it, the map of the game was HUGE, the towns were interesting, and the dungines in it were one of a kind. Not to mention the storyline, which made you laugh and cry. When i sold my genesis for some extra cash, i had to sell Landstalker to.

----hearing the news---

I was angry at myself for selling landstalker, i thought i never woud see that kind of game again. Then, about 2 years later, I decided to look up landstalker on the popular search engine Yahoo!. Then, about 2 pages in, I found it. The name of the link was "Landstalker 2: for the PSX?" I was in heaven, because i had brought paystion about 1 year back. I clicked on the link and read about the new game. Then i saw a screenshot of it, the writing was in jappenese, but i could conferm this game would be te next Landstaker.

---1 year ago in a galaxy far, far away---

I walked into the video game aisle of a store.I had just recently beaten Vandal Hearts and couldn't get my mind off it, i wanted another game that could give me more action and excitment...i could summon it up in 3 letters, RPG. I asked the clerk if they had any good new RPG games for playstation, she said yeah and handed me Alundra. I looked at the back of the game and was stuned. This game was familer, Had i seen or played it somewhere before? Yes....it was "Landstalker 2". Actually it wasn't. It was made by the same compony but not a sequal. That didn't matter to me though, i brought the game.

---enjoying the review so far? HEHEHE...I know,I know, It's pretty much of landstalker. But dont worry, your review is coming up---

I brought the game home and put it in the playstation. The words Alundra was spread across the screen. Then a little movie flick started. I pressed the start button and went to new game, the adventures were about to come back.

--- And now for the review (finally!)---

Alundra is a fun and time consuming game. It beats Landstalker in many things...but fails in some others.

---Buttons---

Alundra plays like Zelda, you hit the square button and Alunda uses his weapon, the circle button uses his items, X is to jump, and triangle is to run. Its not a confusing way to play. Thats why this game gets a good grade here.

Grade: Not confusing 10

---graphics---

Alundra is better (graphic wise) than landstalker. But who woud not suspect that, Playstations graphics are 2 times better than sega genesis. You play in a sort of helecopter view, seing the charictors head at all times. I like this part of the game to (its the same as landstalker). Now i know the graphics in this game arn't the best playstation can do, but it makes the game more fun to play.

Grade: Graphics Fun 10

---Gameplay---

gameplay is what makes this game fun, from fighting monsters to solving puzzels, This part cant go wrong for the RPG fan.

Grade: Cant go wrong 10

---Music---

The music, i have to admit, is not what i was looking for when i brought this game. i mean its good when you first hear it but after a while BLAH! Landstalkers music is must more intereasting. It makes you want to get out there and fight those monsters yourself.

Grade: could've done better 6

---Storyline---

The storyline is great, you are a dream walker called to the village of Iona in a dream one day to stop a powerfull deamon emerging from a 10,000 year sleep. You could tell that it had a lot of thought from the people at working designes. This is the kind of Storylines you look for in RPG's.

Grade: look for it 10

---other info----

Alundra is a greatgame, worth every penny you pay for it. But you do stay in one town all the time, i would've liked to see more towns and more interesting people. But the fun factor beats all of that out. If you are a zelda or Landstalker fan (or any other RPG game looking for an interesting twist) buy Alundra (or rent it) Today!!
