Armored Core
Review by Hustler One
"The best mech game I've ever played!"
This game is probably one of THE best games I've ever played aside of Final Fantasy Tactics. The game can test your reaction skills to see how good you are in the game. But you don't win with just skill, not alone, what I like about this game is that you can configure your ACs to be better and fit your personality. From Huminoid legs to Bird legs to Tank legs (or what they call, catipillar legs) to all types of stuff you can have, you can create near infinity combinations of different types of ACs!
What makes this game unique is that unlike most, if not all, games, you can keep on playing after you have defeated this game. And you can still upgrade your AC. There are easy to the hardes missions in this game which makes it challenging (but there are no hard missions to me!). I find versing the Ranking Ravens to be more fun, especially 9-Ball! After making your "perfect" AC, then you can you and your friends wit of this game which I like the most, VS. mode. It kinda makes you feel like your the best out in the world when you do win this! You can even change your color to camoflauge yourself (not that that'll matter since you have radar!) and not like you choose the color red or blue or purple, but you can configure it yourself! Kinda cool huh? Especially if you feel lazy and you want to go to "Choose Pattern" where you can change to over 15 patterns at 4 types of color to choose from! Way cool huh? And want to see how the computer thinks of it? Check out "Preformance" to see just how good your AC is (mine's currently at Superfine!). It even ranks you upon the ranking Ravens! (number one here!)
Now if you explore this game a bit and play it for more than 15 minutes, you'll begin to see the symptoms of AC addiction: sudden urge to keep playing, the need to rank at least second to none, need a better AC so I need to keep playing, and woah let's see that on instant replay, on another job of course! So I hope this makes you want to just go out there and show that man rules over machine! =D
