Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare returns scaring the living crap out of the players. With a single swipe Alone In the Dark: The New Nightmare has enhanced Survival horror games to their fullest! It is just amazing! Pack all the needed materials to play which is mainly some extra pairs of under clothing. We'll start the review now beginning with the graphics.

Graphics: They make a game fun to look at.
Alone In the Dark four has pumped the graphics of the playstation which we probably won't see much on the playstation anymore. The backgrounds were stunning and gave the game its fitting, gothic, feel but still maintains a modern enough look. The characters had a smooth skin texture that didn't stick out and look very realistic. Carnby's long coat thing doesn't move up much when he walks slowly but it seem to fly up while he runs which is done good. The monsters also appear in a good matter like they don't just walk up jump through the camera they actually appear. As for the opening scene it was excellently crafted giving the plot a good jump-start. All of the FMVs down to most worthless, no importance, scenes pack a punch. There is no fog during the gameplay so you don't to worry about enemies charging out of the fog.

Sound: A blind person's pride
Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare was so extremely good in this category. The audio is easy to understand so that will provide some aid. The voices always a done well and all is well with the game's sound. Hearing people screaming for help! Man it sounds so well. The sound of the guns, monster roaring in pain... it is excellent for those looking for some fear.

The cast of Characters: Who is who?
In Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare players can assume the role of Edward Carnby or a one Aline Cedrac. Each Character's game is extremely different. The games have different styles like for example, if you seek mainly action and combat pick Edward Carnby, if you desire some good puzzles... choose Aline Cedrac. The characters have an all-round good design that is worthy of praise. Edward Carnby now a totally different guy and no longer has that odd, homely appearance of his polygonal original. Aline is your typical DinD. Edward Carnby is designed well with the clever fashion statement of the long detective coat unzipped. Aline begins the game with a black leather jacket. She eventually looses the jacket which will all make sense if you are an extreme searcher and do all your studies.

Controls:
If your a veteran of the Resident Evil series you'll have no problems controlling your character. Newbies will have some toil but will eventually understand the game.
