Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles

"This game is ok. Not great, not bad."

Hello everybody. This is my first review so don't make fun of me or anything :( Ok the game is Jedi Power Battles. If you want a fun two player time or if you are a star wars fanatic you should like this game. Nothing like slicing up droids on a rainy day.

Graphics: 5

Hmmmm graphics. I have to give LucasArts some credit. They DID make pretty good models of players and enemies. BUT. If you look at some of the backgrounds they are just repeating or just take no skill at all to do. Such as Tatooine(that how you spell it?). There is a bunch or dirt in the background. Woo hoo. Thats interesting. Anyway 5 out of 10 for trying.

Gameplay: 8

Fun game to play. Two player mode is better than most game where alll you have is a versus mode. This time you can play the real story based game with two players. Yay. They should have included all those versus modes and other stuff in the PSX instead of just DC. Err. O well. Heres the thing. If you aren't good at video games DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. This will make you run up a wall smash controllers(or your friends when they waste a credit by jumping off a cliff for no reason)and pretty much destroy your PSX. Hehe. Ya its hard. Dont get me started on the jumping thing either. Sure its hard enough getting your friend and you coordinated enough to make 1 jump but if someone goes ahead the camera focuses on them making the other person fall and die. Ok next.

Sound: 9

Great. Not much to say. There is a bunch of Star Wars ''authentic'' music. Composed by the popular composer whose name I forgot. Pretty cool stuff in this department. The sound effects. They were ok. You could here the lightsabers and droids shooting so thats cool. One other thing. Jar Jar sounds like an idiot and the droid in the first level who says ''There they are get them'' sounds stupid too.

Replayability:6.5

Star Wars fans will want to play this over and over trying to get secret characters and all that junk. Me? Beat it once and I'm done. If you dont like Star Wars you probly wont want to play this game again because it is SOOOOO hard. Errrrr. Ok

Star Wars fans should buy. People who aren't fanatics should probly rent. You can beat this game in a week. You won't want to play it again if you dont LOVE Star Wars. Ok bye.
