Colony Wars: Vengeance
Review by Saiya-jin X
"One of the best 3D shooters out there..."
Colony Wars: Vengeance is probably the best 3D fighter on the PlayStation. The sequel to Colony Wars adds a few new features, making it a better 3D fighter. This is one of my favorite games because of such detail the designers put in this game, details that other PlayStation games have yet to achieve. This game is a perfect example of what the PlayStation is capable of.
Gameplay
This game is pretty fun the first time playing it. It does have good replay and will keep you playing for quite a while. The game is easy to pick up and master even if you havent played the first one. To bad there isnt a 2-player mode, one of the features its missing. Other than that, this game is quite fun.
Graphics
The graphics are really great, the one thing that makes this game shine. The ships are really well done and are sharper than the first Colony Wars. The planets are great and the surrounding space around you is great. Nicely done.
Sound
The music is great, but nothing special. The realistic sound of the ships and weapons are great, which makes up for the music. The explsions are grand and better and deliver and excellent scene. Without the sound effects being so great the rating would of been a 9, but that is still good.
Control
The control is excellent, almost perfect if you ask me. With the Dual Shock controller you get an extra feature unlike the regular controller. There is alot of controls to control though. Every button is used to its greatness.
Overall
A very solid game, deep gameplay, and excellent control, and pretty good music. A space shooter unlike any other game on PlayStation or any other system. This game leaves StarFox in the dust. This game should be a good choice to add to your video game library. You wont be disappointed with this purchase.
