"Who would've thought a Disney game could be this fun?!"

As many of you already know, the DDR craze is sweeping the nation and it has already expanded to over 8 different versions ranging from 3rd Mix to Solo Bass Mix. But there has always been one which is underrated, and that has got to be Disney's Rave. Known as Dancing Stage featuring Disney's Rave in the arcade, it is very different in terms of songs and modes when compared to newer versions of DDR. Now, here's the review:

Graphics: 6
Well, DDR never had any good graphics to begin with mostly because people are too busy to pay any attention to the backgrounds anyway. But Disney's Rave is a bit different. Instead of having 3D characters dancing in the background, you have your favorite Disney characters dressed up in ''hardcore'' clothes and managing turntables. (ew) The only problem with this is that there is sometimes so much bright lights and confetti in the background that the arrows sometimes seem transparent which makes things awfully frustrating.

Gameplay: 10
What else is there to say? You basically have a dance pad. Arrows in the directions of the 4 cardinal points on screen scroll upward. When they reach the top of the screen, you have to step on the right direction with the dance pad. Some songs have arrows scroll faster, but it is always the same procedure. But in Disney's Rave, they have a new feature called Dance Magic. It is basically a battle mode where you can throw different attacks at your opponent such as making their steps harder, or making them faster. You can even chose what character to play as!

Sound/Music: 7
The songlist in Disney's Rave may not be as varied as the other DDRs recently released. In fact, it doesn't have that much more than 20. Yeah, I know it's kinda sad, but there are a few good points. A lot of the songs on the list you might remember, including some oldies from the 50's and 60's such as Surfin' USA, Johnny B. Goode, and a Michael Jackson song which he sang when he still had a huge head of hair. There are also quite a few remixed Disney tunes such as remixes of Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Da, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, and 2 remixes of It's a Small World! Although it may sound like a good list, you might grow old of them after a while and the lack of a Maniac mode hurts the replay value a smidge.

Overall: 7
In all, I think that this is a good game, but it could have been so much better if they added more songs or a Maniac mode. I would have even been content with an Edit Mode. There's a lack of songs, but what they do have is pretty good, but not great.

The Good
-Hardcore Disney tunes!!
-New Dance Magic mode
-Lots of fun with a group of people

The Bad
-Not enough songs
-No Maniac mode

The Ugly
-What Donald Duck says in the beginning of the Small World mix
