Brave Fencer Musashi

"A very good game from SquareSoft!"

I have to look back as to when I started playing this game. I remember my friend on the Internet told me about this game a couple of months ago. I wanted to rent it, but since the PlayStation was getting near its end days, it was hard to get. So I had to go ahead and buy it. I was scared, but I sure did get my moneys worth! The Zelda series was the only Action/RPG series I was interested in. All the others at that time seemed to suck. So I went ahead and took my chances and I played a great memorable game!

Graphics-8/10. These graphics weren't up to the PlayStation standards, but in very good detail. Some of them tend to be blocky at times, but you get used to them. I liked the mountain design, it was so cool being able to see things like this in 3D. Some of the sprites looked dumb sometimes. But they were average.

Sound-10/10. WOW, The first moment I heard these sounds I was impressed. I liked the Sword slashing of Luminaire a whole lot. The Music was memorable, mostly the Frozen Palace Music and the Stone Head Race were cool songs. I couldn't think of any songs I didn't like a whole lot. I even bought the Soundtrack CD as a gift for myself.

Storyline-7/10. It was alright. It was about a boy who was mistaken for the Legendary hero ''Brave Fencer Musashi''. So now he must go on a quest and collect the Five Scrolls. So that way the Lumina Sword will be complete.

GamePlay-10/10. I loved it. It had RPG stuff like HP, Level UPs, and all that great stuff. Also you had to save people from something called a Bincho Field, and once you did, they can give you info and sometimes teach you Techniques. Or even make stuff for you! Also the scrolls, When you get a certain scroll like Water or Fire, you can use them to do stuff like make Fire or Water and shoot them at enemies. Plus you can also consume abilities from enemies. Then you can use them to make a special attack that the enemy was able to do. However it does cost BP to use them.

Final Score-9/10. I love this game a whole lot, and I suggest this to anyone who sees it. Anyone!
