Review by SR-71 Blackbird

"An improved version of the previous Formula 1 series."

Since Psygnosis made its superb Formula 1 game, many gamers were astounded with it. Round tyres, realistic graphics and sound, added replay value to name a few are the tings that made it so great. But there was no two player mode! Can you believe it? Well, in this game, two player mode is existant along with some other bits of improvements.

Graphics
To make it short, the graphics are even more detailed than before. Some example is a few other camera view available, water splashes from tyres, flying grass and realistic light emitted from the vehicle. Pop-up is minimal although existant. Overall, the looks are improved if compared to its predecessor.

Sound
A strange thing is that the music is inaudible, or was it just me? Anyway, the sound is clear, no disortion, noise or whatsoever. The cars emit the most realistic sound I expect from a racing game. If only every other racing game was as real as this.

Controls
I've not much to say. Only a little has changed from the previous release, and analog control can be utilised. But I recommend to get the steering wheel controllers for the best experience.

Gameplay
The interface on the menus can be quite confusing for newcomers. On the other hand, this game might last long with its many features and modes. Arcade mode is a crazy and the most unreal side of Formula 1 racing. Simulation is self-explanatory. Two player mode finally made its way, so linking up is irrelevant (hooray). Every Formula 1 track in the world is available, don't worry.

Difficulty
Ah, let's see. The difficulty is balanced. There's nothing too hard if your desired setting, so expect the kind of challenge you want from your desire.

This game is sure to be in the shopping cart of gamers.
