"Well first off despite somewhat average reviews this game turned out pretty well."

Well there were a lot of bad reviews for this game, but its actually better than what most people think. Well enough talk and onto the review!

Graphics: 8/10
Basically the game's only graphical flaw was the slowdown that the game presented. Basically the overall speed of the game was pretty slow, there are a few frames missing here and there but nothing too noticable to deter from the overall gameplay. The graphics in this game were pretty good, the game did move rather smoothly in some parts of the game, the graphics in the game were pretty good since Capcom wanted to keep that comicbook like atmosphere, that's why you won't find much detail in the backgrounds. But the overall slowdown really punished the game badly, especially when you turn on the gems and use them for some characters. But once you get use to it, the slowdown really won't be too much of a bother, just as long as yous tay away from the other faster games :)

Music and Sound: 7/10
The music and sound in this game was pretty good, the sound effects in this game fit the comicbook atmosphere and presence. Although you wouldn't actually see the POW! and the BOOM! the sound was there to provide it, and the music in the game was pretty good as well. However, the unique thing about the music is that it matched almost perfectly and magically with the character that you were using, it gave you a feel for the character that you were using. The game's overall music was smooth, not jazzy but more like something soft and easy to listen to, it fit perfectly with the gameplay.

Replay Value: 5/10
Okay, Capcom was a little lazy just giving the game just two modes to work with. All there really is to keeping you back into the game is human competition because we all know how crappy computer competition has become since SSF2T. The other bit of replay value the game has is unlocking the two bosses not playable in the arcade version.

Gameplay: 8/10
The gameplay in this game is basically almost arcade perfect, the missing frames do practically nothing to actually deter from the overall gameplay. All the moves are here from the arcade version, from Web Swing to those annoying Gem supers Thanos has. However, the essence of the gameplay is completely different from those of the previous 2-D fighting genre. In this game you can go off screen, but more actually the entire battlefield is about three times larger than before, in this game you use a super jump to reach into the larger screen. Before in games you would get an air combo known as a juggle, however the concept has completely changed thanks to the new system which actually lets you perform an actual air combo rather than just juggle the opponent in the air. You can get as much as 6-15 hits all in the air if your good enough. The combo system in the game goes by the term 'magic series.' This series allows you to do a simple chain combo by pressing the buttons in sequension, or in a certain order. Its not really hard to adapt really, and also added to the gameplay is the use of gems. These gems derived from the comicbook series Infinity Guantlet(obviously) and taken from the comicbook, each gem represent a certain ability that the character uses during the game. Depending on the character and on the certain gem, that character will gain an extra special ability that only that character may recieve from using the gem. Included in the gameplay are supers, hyped up moves that do a massive amount of damage, but you will need to fill up a super guage to actually start using it, and also after filling up the super guage you can use Infinity counters, which you can immediately counter attack while blocking an attack. The game consists of 10 characters and 2 extra bosses that can be unlocked during the game, but other than that there isn't much you can do with the game. The downside about the game is that its just so slow sometimes, especially when you get the bigger characters in the game and initiates the gems you can be playing at three times slower than the normal speed, which can irritate a few people(like me). But overall the gameplay is still as rock solid as it can get, if only there were more modes.

Overall: 7/10
The game had good graphics, excellent sound, decent replay value, and solid gameplay. Two factors in this game that can prevent a buyer: The speed and the lack of modes. Other than that this game is certainly a must buy for those who enjoyed the arcade version.
