"Quake II is just as good as Doom II."

This game is a first person shooter. It is made by Activison and ID Software. This game has a lot of good points to it and hardly any bad points. I am not comparing this to the PC version. Read on please.

This game is a lot like Doom. It has about 8 weapons including awesome weapons like a Super Shotgun, Chaingun, and Rocket Launcher. It also has special power ups like Ammo for all sorts of guns, Armor, Health, and an Environment Suit. You have to clear 5 Objectives (or worlds as I call it) and in each objective there are about 5-7 missions. In this game you can run and swim (your really just walking in water). Every time you beat an objective they keep track of how many people and monsters you killed and how many secrets you found.

Graphics 10/10

The graphics on this are spectacular. There are no blurry parts or anything like that. The monsters look spectacular and when you blow up the dead body of a monster it looks so real. The graphics aren't disappointing at all.

Sound 10/10

The music in this game is excellent. The music is composed my Rob Zombie! The awesome music in this game makes your ears very happy. The sound is just as good as the music. The sound the guns make are amazing and the sounds of the monster are great. The monsters will grunt and make machinery sounds (since some of the monsters are robots) and when you blow up a monster it sounds great. The sounds are flawless.

Control-9/10

The controls in this game are great. The X button is shoot, Triangle is switch weapon forward and O is switch weapon backwards. Unlike Doom there is a crosshair (a crosshair is a + sign in the middle that you use to aim) and you can aim up and aim down. L1 is aim down and R1 is aim up. L2 is strafe left and R2 is strafe right. Strafe means to walk sideways and it is very common in a First Person Shooter game. The direction pad controls are simple. Up is move up and down is move down. But left is TURN left and right is TURN right. If you want to move left and right you have to use the strafe buttons. The controls are super.

Challenge-Customizable

This game has 3 levels of difficulty. You have easy, medium and hard. Easy is a level where people who never played First Person Shooters should start. If your familiar with First Person Shooters and think you are confident then medium should be a place to start. But hard is really hard. When you put it on hard the monsters get harder and tougher. They also switch the monsters you fight in level easy to harder monsters. This games a pretty hard game.

Multiplayer Fun-10/10

This game has a multiplayer mode where 2-4 people can verse each other in a frag game. A frag game is a game where you try to kill your opponent as many times as you can. It's very similar to the one in Unreal Tournament and its very fun. I had a match with 2 other people but I guarantee that when 4 players verse each other it gets a lot more fun.

Replay Value-10/10

The replay value on this is incredible if you love First Person Shooters. But if your a person who beats a game and doesn't play it anymore than the replay value kind of gets lower. But finding the secrets keep the replay value alive. What I did to keep the replay value alive was first beat it on easy then beat it on hard. When I did that the game lasted about 2 months. I suggest you do that.
