"A terrible game that should have never been made"

When I first bought MK trilogy I thought it was going to be a great game like the other MK games. Unfortunately this game was a bitter disapointment. I would have to say that this was the worst fighting game I had ever played. You would expect to see these types of graphics on the genesis but not even super nintendo has graphics this bad. This game was not fun at all and you will probably find yourself smashing this game with a hammer just so you don't ever have to see it again. Unless you are a collector of fighting games or a very devoted fan of the MK series who has tons of patience then I would have to say not to buy this game. Don't even rent it, don't even buy it off a friend for ten cents because you'll just be wasting that ten cents.

Graphics: 2
Horrible, just plain horrible. I couldn't even stand the terrible looking characters. I didn't even think that this was up to the standards of the original 8 bit nintendo. And how many palette swap ninjas can they have in this terrible game? I couldn't believe how terrible this was graphically. I could barely make out most characters facial features like a face or nose. Obviously the designers of this game were more concerned with quantity of characters instead of quality because it's just a bunch of palette swaps and characters from other MK games. The backrounds were atrocious in this game. It looked like the original MK for the genesis. The backrounds were horribly detailed and did not look real at all. I would have sworn a five year old child put together the graphics for this game. If you can somehow put up with terrible graphics then you might want this game but it's not likely.

Audio: 3
Almost as bad as the graphics. I only gave the music a three because it's similar to music from other MK games which I like. Unfortunately this wasn't too great anyway and it just made this game worse. The music did not go well with each stage at all. I was put to sleep like seven times listening to this music. In other words this game has terrible music and I suggest you turn down the music volume completely. The sound fx are just as bad. I couldn't stand the voice of Liu Kang screaming and shouting when he would attack somebody. I was about to go insane but luckily I lost so I didn't have to listen to his voice anymore. I would have to say that every sound effect in this game is terrible. They all sound unrealistic and are extremely annoying. I'm glad I threw this game out because this game's sounds would have drove me to insanity if I had kept it any longer.

Gameplay: 2
I hated this game. This game adds nothing to the MK series and should have never been made. There is nothing fun about this game. The only difference between this and other MK games is that you can play the bosses from all the earlier MK games. Whoop-de-do big deal. It did not make this game fun at all. They made this game impossible to play because there was so many problems with it. Even the first person you fight is suprisingly hard to beat because there are so many problems with this game. I just couldn't find anything fun about this game. If you actually buy this game you'll probably make it another crappy thing that you stick in you closet or if you are a collector I guess you could buy it just to have it. But I highly suggest you don't play this game otherwise your blood pressure will go up quickly. This game is truly not fun at all and is an insult to all other MK games.

Control: 2
This is just another bad part of the game that makes it even worse. I can barely control the characters and I threw the controller at the tv so many times when my fighter wouldn't do anything that I pressed on the controller. I could do none of my characters moves and they almost always did something other than what I pressed. I couldn't stand this game at all and the controls just drove me insane. Somebody was really careless when they set up the controls for this game because they are just horrible and make it impossible to beat the game on the harder levels. Also the enemy fighters are lightning fast and you need good controls and quick reflexes to beat them. Even if you have good reflexes you still will die many times in this game because the controls are absolutely terrible. I think that this was the worst part of the game.

Story: 3
This is the same old MK story. You have to fight a bunch of fighters and it goes on and on blah blah same thing as every other MK. I would have given this category a one but since it actually had a story I gave it a three. By now I'm pretty sick of this story because every MK game is the same thing. All the characters are fighting for a different reason and there are a lot of characters. Unfortunately all these new characters and the addition of being able to play bosses don't do anything good for the story. You probably won't even care what the story of this game is or why each character is fighting. All you'll probably care about is when trash day is so that you can get this game to the dump as fast as possible.

Replay: 1
I played this game three times and realized that I had wasted my money. I'm pretty embarrassed to admit that I bought this game. Even with its tons of characters and endings for all of them, you won't want to play this game again. It's just so repetitive and it is really bad in all aspects. I would like to know if anybody could like this game and replay it at all, because I don't think anybody I know would. I suggest you don't buy this game, don't even think about buying it. Don't even think about renting it. Unless you like collecting games then don't buy this game. I don't even think that MK fanatics will like this game and they too will be irritated way too much. I suggest that you buy an MK game that is better and when I say that I mean buy any MK game other than this one.
