NASCAR 99
Review by SAdler
"A Fun and good racing game"
Nascar 99 sports about 25 of Nascars top drives and their cars. The cars look just like they do in real life, with the appropriate advertisements, and colors. The game also has all of the nascar tracks. The best mode to play is the season mode, it is fun and challenging, and freature the season leaderd bord so you can view where you stand. Proball the funniest thing abou the game is if you have damage on, you can cross the finish line mising half of your car!
Graphics: Nascar 99 sports the best graphics of all the nascar games. The cars and the tracks look so real that you will think that you are watching the race on the tube. With damage on the cars show pretty accurate damage, which helps make the game a bit more realistic. The lighting effect are great in the game from the cars shadows, to the few night races.
Sound: The sound is proball the best part of the game. The sound of engines sounds so real. When you shift gears you can even hear that too. The cars sound just like the would if you would listen to them on tv. The announcing in also good. The announcers tell where you stand in the race, and past history of your driver, and the track you are racing at. The announcing is accourate and pretty informative.
Control: The control is one of the best available in a racing game if you use the dpad, or the joystic. The contro is very responsive, and great for a racing game. It is fairly easy to brake fast, and to take sharp turns with easy. This is probally the best control in a racing game to date.
Bottom Line: If you like nascar, you will love Nascar 99, and if you like real physics, and things like that than Gran Turismo is your game. Nascar 99 freature many drivers, cars, and tracks, that help create the best Nascar experince ever.
