NBA Live 99

"I'm never playing NBA Shootout again!"

EA has made some great games, and Live '99 is definetly no exception.

Gameplay- Heh.
Well, with spins, fakes, crossovers, jukes,leaners, fadeways, 360's, reverses, flips and whatnot,(ok, no flips) the gameplay thrives, to say the least. You can create players, make 'em as good as you want, control their play style,(agressive, laid back, hyped...)different faces, hairdos, you name it. Although you can't pick what type of shoe they wear, dang it. Trade, release, sign, reorder players, and whatever else. Maybe I was too good at last year's or something, because I still rule the court in '99. My record in one game is 306 points. And that's on 3-minute quarters!It isn't as bad as last year's, with the new and improved computer AI. I think that is the only problem in the game- it is simply too easy. Well, I can't score 300+ points when fouls are on though. It also has the new practice mode, but that isn't worth raving.

GAMEPLAY 10/10

Sound-
The sound is pretty good, the music gets you in the mood for drivin' down the lane with Kobe, then stuffin' it in Mutumbo's face. The crowd is okay, always has been. Coaches call from the sidelines, Get back on D!The starting lineups are great, but could be better (lights go out, music starts, spotlights, players come out of the locker room, crowds cheer...)

Control-
It's hard for a beginner to get used to all the moves, but controls are pretty precise and easy to learn.

Graphics- Heh.
Okay, well to start off, the graphics are better than any other B-ball game I've seen. The players faces look real, and emotions change during different situations.Unlike last year, Kobe could be smiling after 360 over Ewing, and still be grinning when hit with a charging call.The graphics are unreal, and put you in the game (EA ain't kidding!)

Replay Value-
Gets slightly old after a month, let me tell you!

It is a great game and I really want to see the series progress nicely. (I can't wait for Live 2000 to come out!)This is a must have for any Basketball fan.

+players change emotions
+practice mode
-tooooooooo easy (300+ points?! I mean, come on!)
