NFL Blitz is a fun sports game in the vein of NBA Jam. Not exactly using the most realistic of engines, this game delivers some wacky fun you'll enjoy for a while.
The graphics are all great, every player looks fluid but of course, they aren't really distinct from one another. The field well, looks like a football field so overall, the graphics are pretty good.
The music in this game is non-exsistant, with only music during the opening menus, but it's a sports game, who cares? The one thing I like about the sound is the yells players usually yell after tackling or being tackled. Very funny stuff.
Controls are responsive, which is a must with a sports game. Simple controls with only three buttons in use.
Gameplay is easy and fun. I'm not a football fan, but the plays were easy to understand, with the X's, O's and arrows. The game itself is pure bliss with insane gaming that feels like NBA Jam, but with a football. I personally enjoy this best with a friend or two, but it's also fun alone.
If you were and still are an NBA Jam fan, you'll enjoy NFL Blitz, I promise.
