Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee

In this game you start out as Abe a Mudukon who's quest is to free the Mudukon race. First Abe finds out that the Glukons ran out off other species for their factory so they started using Mudukons. Abe over hears this and has to rescue a lot of Mudukons, Or the Mudukons won't help him.

You begin the game in Rupture farms where you have to search every nook and cranny to find those Mudukons, and watch out for the sligs. It doesn't seem very fun at first cause its hard and awkward to control Abe. But once you get used to controlling him this game will rule.

This ain't a game where you go around blasting the hell out everyone who comes in sight. Most of the game is a stelth time of game. When the Sligs (who are machine gunner robots with an IQ of 72 and itchy trigger fingers)Are walking around you got to tip toe to make sure they dont hear. WHen your out of sight you run for cover. They whole game is like this except when "chant" into a Slug.

A cool feature that makes the game more fun and funny is the ability to speak. You can go up to a Mudukon and say "hi". Then a conversation will start. You can fart And all the mudukons will follow you.(Its funny when you lead them into meat processesors.

One cool thing you can do when you chant is into a slig that you possess. You can go around blasting Mudukons, Sligs, Slugs, Scrabs, and Paramites that are in your way.Also when you are a Slig the other sligs think your their friends which makes it easier to tag their ***. There are dogs that wander around called Slugs that will obey you if you are a Slig or eat you if you're a Mudukon. If you say "Here boy" then say "get'em" they will be cleaning house!

Later in the game you go to the Parimite Temple and the Scrab temple filled with paramites and Scrabs. The paramites may seem friendly but par two together and LOOK OUT!! Scrabs are just all around mean machines there big and red and eat everything in sight. Also a camel type guy called Elum comes around later in the game and much more over all this game is worth the money. It a greatest hit and a only $20 bucks

Graphics- 10 the graphics to this game are awesome 2 1/2D!!! The FMV sequences to this game are awesome

Sound - 9 The sounds cool!! the music starts rushing when your being chased and sounds suspenseful when your hiding in the corners. The voice overs to this game are excellent!

Gameplay -6 This is the weakness in the game. Some times you will fall off cliffs or run into bombs just becauses of the stupid controls. Do you know how PO'ed I can get from that!!! But other than the usual are its an ok control system so i give it a 6. Don't you think they could have done better considering its a side scroller?

Challenge - Medium This game has a good degree of challenge to it. if you are just looking to beat the game thats easy(but your getting the bad ending) But if you take your time and try to rescue a lot of Mudukons its Really hard. To rescue all 99 mudukons THATS IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Replayability - 7 This game don;t have the replayability of Final Fantasy VII but it keep you playing for a a while. You can search for all the Mudukons and find hidden areas.

Overall - 8 This game is my favorite 2d side scroller and is what Yoshis Story should have been!!

Ren Buy or Run Away? Buy at only 20 bucks THIS GAME IS WORTH IT!
