"With the Evil Dead name you would expect better but still a good game."

:::Gameplay:::

hmmmm this is one of the negative aspects of the game. The problem here is that the game is just too hard, you spend all this time killing flying deadites only to have them respawn on you the second you leave the screen which causes you too have to kill them again wasting ammo and gas. Also (if you survive long enough) the game can be beat within 3 hours which is short for any game. Another problem would be that there are very little save points which makes surviving all the more challanging.

:::Graphics:::

Okay I'll admit when I first played the game I was like ''Woah do these graphics ever SUCK!'' but after getting off my high horse and accepting the every game can't be as pretty as a painting I realized that the graphics were not bad but mediocre, on the dreamcast the graphics are considerably better than on the playstation but that is to be expected. The game uses pre-rendered backgrounds obviously inspired by Resident Evil and occasionally these backgrounds cause problems, mostly in the way the camera is positioned.

:::Sound:::

Oh Yeah Baby, This is one of the highest points of the game. The Man! Bruce Campbell let THQ borrow his voice for the game and all I can say is YES! I mean what would an Evil Dead game be without the right voice for Ash, our shotgun toting hero. The one liners are very funny and in my opinion worth at least renting the game for. The music is also very atmospheric and spooky for instance when your walking down a path through the woods everything is deadly silent and then from within the woods you here an errie voice wail ''Join Ussss'' Creepy.

:::Replayability:::

There is none...unless you are an Evil Dead fan like me then theres lots, but for the average gamer none what so ever.

:::Diffuculty:::

Hard...depending on your learning curve it may take the entire game just for you to get a hold of it.

all in all I'd give it a 6.5/10 rounded up to 7. In some final thoughts I've found that THQ wants to produce another Evil Dead game for the playstation 2 and all I can say is GO FOR IT! But hopefully they will remember their mistakes from the first one and try to improve on it. Hopefully Bruce Campbell will lend his voice to this one too and complete the Evil Dead experience.
