"Capcom decides to take a little departure from the original Street Fighter series"

Everyone knows that Capcom designs the best games now and then. One exception was the Street Fighter series. They made too much games based on this title with the same old gameplay. Now they want to depart for a little bit of differency in their games. Street Fighter Alpha was their answer.

1.Playability: 8/10
This game is very much like every Street Fighter made. But who cares? The only difference I notice is the speed difference between the Turbo series and the Alpha series. And the addition of new characters is a warm welcome. Besides, everyone likes newbies. (Oh, not again! Ryu and Ken?!?)

2.Sound: 10/10
Now I can tell the difference between Ryu and Ken! Thank god! I usually thought that Ryu was both characters melded in one with only color palette swaps. But now they are different characters. The background music is sometimes cool and sometimes annoying in the middle of a die hard battle.

3.Graphics: 9/10
Finally Capcom decides to go for an anime look on their beloved Street Fighter series. Not only it looks different, but it looks cooler than before. Supers look fantastic than ever with shadows and special effects. Some times the graphics can get pretty fast you don't know what the heck you are doing.

4.Replay Value: 8/10
There's nothing much to do here except try to beat the game with every single character. But then, it's a Capcom game. Maybe you should try the new survival mode! Yippee.

Is it worth it?
I'd have to say maybe unless you want to collect all of the Street Fighters ever made by Capcom. Other than that, just wait for the newer Alpha series in line.
