The Adventures of Lomax

Everyone has heard of the Lemmings, right? Right?Before Worms was the Lemmings, hundreds of small little 'people' in blue shirts and green punk style hair. There was lots of games, such as Lemmings, Christmas Lemmings, Lemmings Gold, Lemmings 3D and many more. All of these was classics. So what happens, I ask when you get a developer to make a new type of game with the Lemmings? The puzzle genre went out of the system for this game, and became an awful Platforming game, which could of been made on the Super Nintendo, or Gameboy Color quite easy.

In the past Lemmings game, you had to get Lemmings from one place to another, by building bridges, equipping parachutes and even blowing poor lemmings up to make a path. Those poor Lemmings. In The Adventures of Lomax the Lemming, you controlled an ultra deformed looking lemming called, well, Lomax, and you must save the planet from this force who has come out of nowhere.

The levels are quite short, just about as long as Super Mario Brothers, okay, maybe a little bigger. The levels are very dull, repeative and overall, boring. The company who made this monster wanted us to play more of it, so we don't return it to the rental store within 2 minutes of trying it, (I had to buy it... grr). By this, the company hid some items, often little lemmings which Lomax has to grab, which might open a few things towards the end of the game, but who cares, and who is actually bothered?

Lomax himself handles quite slow, and jumps like a maniac. The game has very crap gameplay, even the most elite of players will hate controlling the lemming. The graphics, are not Playstation material, it looks like a Super Nintendo game. I will give The Adventures of Lomax the Lemming some credit on the sound, some very good touches.

The Adventures of Lomax the Lemming is one game that everybody should stay away. Don't be tempted, like tagline was right, I shelled out a lot of money all those years back, for a game which you should never play.
