Warcraft II: The Dark Saga

"If you've played the PC version don't bother..."

No! Just plain no! It's all wrong!

I love the PC version of this game. Everything is right. The map doesn't get in the way. The mouse is VERY helpful. Clicking on characters and items works perfectly. This games SCREAMS for a mouse.

But, there is no mouse for the Playstation. Bummer... Here's some other likes and dislikes.

Graphics: I think it looks, well, copied. The graphics are VERY grainy, ESPECIALLY for Playstation. I've played plenty of Playstation games and the graphics are usually wonderful and full of life. This game is ugly.

Saving and loading: Sucks. Just plain sucks. Saving and loading takes ENTIRELY too long!! I saved my game as A. I could not stand renaming the game EACH time I saved. I give this a 3.

NOTE: there is a format option on the save and load screen. BEWARE OF THIS BUTTON! My brother accidentally formatted his memory card and 30 hours of FFVII was deleted!! Needless to say he was NOT happy!

Sound: sucks. It just doesn't sound right! Like the graphics it seems copied! I give this a 4.

Menus and Maps: The map gets in the way! The menus aren't bad though. The speed option is actually a little slower than the pc... I like auto-building and auto-upgrading. Unfortunately this can watse all your money if you're not careful. Selecting and deselting charaters and items stinks and aggrevates me to no end. I give this a 3.

Overall I was VERY disappointed. I'll probably not play this again... Anybody want a used Warcraft 2 for Playstaion??
