Threads of Fate

"Maybe a Short Game but it still is great"
When I first played this game I thought like how this game like was and other things like that. When my brother started playing it, then I knew what the game was like. Of course before neither my brother nor I heard of this game we were not real good with RPG games (such as Final Fantasy, Parasite Eve, etc.). This game is probably one of Squaresoft's best RPG games that they have made so far. In this game there are two characters that you must control to get something to fulfill their ultimate dream. This game has to be one of the best RPG games that were ever made by Squaresoft or probably one of the best RPG's by Squaresoft. With this addition to their RPG legacy, Squaresoft had definitely put some time into making this a good Action RPG and will keep you coming back for more. Any fan of RPGs will most likely find this to be a fine game, but don’t whine because I didn’t say it was short. All right let's get straight to the review:
Graphics: 9.3/10
The graphics of this game are of course in 3-D and they are the kind of graphics that we don't see much in some games now a day. It would be nice if we could see at least some more games with 3-D graphics and with these 3-D graphics seems to make some of the scenery look almost real (even some of the characters as well). Basically this game really must have the best graphics for a great action RPG while others tend to say that they aren’t that great but it doesn’t matter if the graphics look good or bad in this game. This game still looks great, in my opinion and I don’t care if I end up not liking the way this game looks but I’ll still play this game no matter what.
Sound: 8.9/10
The sound of this game may not be like that of Final Fantasy, nor other games that Squaresoft has developed. The sound featured in this game differs from other Squaresoft games because this is set up like those Final Fantasy games but it different from Threads of Fate. You can hear the sound of Rue’s Arc Edge hitting your opponents to the footsteps and the same goes when you use Mint’s magic against the enemies.
MUSIC: 8.9/10
There isn’t much music in here except for when you have major boss battles. When you get to some of the boss battles or maybe throughout the game the music tends to change because of about what’s abound to happen. Sometimes the music can real chilling when you get to major parts of the game and you don’t know what’s going to happen because of the music giving you the chills down your back or maybe give you goose bumps.
Difficulty: 9.1/10
The difficulty of this game was hard for me the first time that I started playing this game. Of course it's still hard (like when you save your game and put it in like a month later, that's when it's hard because you don't know like what was the last thing you did). The only thing that makes this game different from any other Squaresoft games is that you don’t have to worry about random battles because every time the enemies are right there so you can attack them right away but the boss fights seem to be a bit easy except for the final boss which is quite challenging.
Plot/Storyline: 9.6/10
The plot of this game is like spectacular because the story really likes pulls you into the game with both characters. The plot to this game has to be one of the best for a RPG (that I have played thus far) and it may be complex for some people who may be playing this game for the first time. The way the plot of the game goes I get pulled into the game because I like games with plots like this (as well as with plot twists as well). It would've been nice if Squaresoft had a few of those in this game to make you wonder about what's going on.
OVERALL: 9.4/10
This game overall has to be one of the best RPG's that I have played because like I said it feels like that you can get into the game with the intense story line that is used in this game. If you are looking for a real good RPG on the PlayStation you should see about getting Threads of Fate. I guess that I'll be quiet before I end up giving out spoilers but even that this is a short action RPG but it is still a fun game to play. This probably one of the best action RPGs to date and you will be spending a good time playing this game and having a great time talking with the characters as well as those boss fights.
