"A Biscuit to the one who finds out what 'X2' means!"

I was never a fan of shooters to begin with, especially those where youi control a small little ship and have to shoot down several million per level. X2 is a scrolling shooter, yes, featuring a tiny space craft with a trillion bullets. I might add that I actually like it a little bit.

X2 has Super Nintendo style graphics, yet this was an early Playstation One game. The animations of the bullets is awful, the Backgrounds are not good to look at eithe, the only thing which is good to look at are 1000 foot alien beasts!

There is no real story in X2. You are just meant to invade enemy base for no reason and shoot down everything which gets in your way. It would have been great to have a story in X2, maybe like some aliens are setting up bases around the earth and you havew to defeat them all, or maybe even some aliens have kidnapped someone.

The aim of the game, is to collect power-ups and blast everything in sites, whilst avoiding bullets which can defeat you in single blows. You know the rules!

I like this game, because it is fun, addictive and has some rockin' music! I am not much of a fan of games like Gradius or Mars Matrix, but somehow, I enjoy this game because it has an impact on me, due to being one of the first games of its kind for me.

The music is great in X2, it has rocking music, which puts you in the mood to 'blast everything in sight'. The sound, well most of it is only bullets firing and hitting, and the occasional space craft falling down.

The challenge in X2 is through the roof. The first stage starts off quite easy, but the second and third do not let people off that easy, it has a difficulty level of 'INSANE' in my opinion! You will be frustrated by twenty minutes, I can assure you!

Good points

- Addictive
- Great music

Bad points

- Ugly to look at, it could have been made on the Super Nintendo easily.
- Bad sound effects
- Insane difficulty
- No story
- You know the score!
