Pocket Fighter

"Good Game but lacks a few things."

Pocket Fighter is a Pretty good game. It is fun and some what challenging. as usual capcom has made a sidescrolling fighter. One thing i did not like were the smaller cuter looking fighers instead of the bigger meaner looking fighters. Another down side was that the combos are just to easy to pull off, Some of the special moves for a character are harder to do then the combos. Yes sometime combos are to hard but these are just to easy, and are basicly the same for each fighter. The one good thing is that you can't just sit there and do the combos all the time. When you pick up gems and attack your combo gauge will increase. The maximum level is nine, That means you can only do your combos nine times. The one down side to the combo gauge system is that nine combos can be enough to defeat an opponent. One cool thing about it was the way they mixed fighter from different games together They and fighters form Rival Schools, Darkstalkers 3, and prvious street fighter games. Of coures they have the Street Fighter vetrans like Ryu and Chun-Li, and Dalkstalker vetrans like Morrigan and Hsien-ko. Another good aspect to the game is the food and items that you can pick up to help you in the fight. The food gives back energy while the items can be throwen at your oppenent do do damage. The gem system is very helpful. The way the gem system works is that you collect gems tho increase your gauges. Your levels in crease by collecting gems too. There are two gem types. There are power gems which come in three different colors, Blue, Red, and yellow. The power gems increase your gauge by 1 unit. the other gem is the rainbow gem. The rainbow gem increases all of your gauges. Once you fill up a gauge your level increases by one. When you get to level three your ability to defeat your enemy increases greatly. The bottem line is the game was good but could have been better. I give it a 7.
