"Old Double Dinamic World Of Restless Luckey Dudes! Think of a better tagline..."

Not many games let your characters perform rude antics like blowing wind. Though Jersey Devil once scratched himself when board. Abe's Oddysea, set in a run-down planet in the form of high-tech, yet very run down. This platforming game takes the fun and enjoyment games to a whole new, you guessed it, limit! By the time this game was released, 2D platforming games were almost dead for the consoles of that generation. Abe's Oddysea is a 2D platforming game, which is very good to look at.

The story in the game is about a slave called Abe, who is not really pleasent to look at. He has stitches on his mouse, a weird colour, bad taste in clothes and a funny hairstyle. Well, Our Abe has to escape from this food product place, because the mean fatcats are trying to make Abe and his species in to meat. Abe must escape and save his friends.. Before its too late!

You control Abe on some very long and tricky levels, where sneaking around, solving puzzles and killing/not killing your enemies is essential. Abe tells his friends to follow him, he farts and even chants out an ancient language to blow the enemy brains out! Abe will be a very appreciated guest at his girlfriends parents house.

Abe's Oddysea has some very unique voice acting. Thequiet background music puts a lot of despairic atmosphere to the game, to give a perfect view on how Abe's world, Oddworld is. The graphics are very good, even for todays standards.

If you like puzzle and platforming games, you should play this game!

Good

- Great graphics and sound
- Brilliant Gameplay
- Lots to play for, it will last an eternity!

Bad

- You will let frustrated when stuck
- With all the things you can make Abe do, you end up pressing the wrong button...
- It is very doubtful, but you could find yourself a little bored of the game before the grand finalé!

Alternatives: Abes Exedos is a sequel to this game. Muches Oddysea is a sequel to this game as well, stars both Abe and a new character. The Oddworld series is also out for the Gameboy and the Gameboy Color. Finally, if this game does not suit your taste, you could try a Metal Gear, or even Jersey Devil. Hey, that paragraph was long!
