Guardian's Crusade
Review by RPGKING
"A great rpg for beginners, or something to hold you rpg fanatics of until FF8"
This game is one of the best introductory rpg's I know of. The design is basic, but keeps the player glued to the screen for hours on end. Any one that likes rpg's or wants to start playing them, this is the game for you.
Although there are only 2 main characters (Knight and Baby) that battle with you, up to three others can join you. How? Living Toys!! These little things are small toys that you can find along your quest. Whenever you go into battle, you can just call up to three out at a time. There are a total of 69 toys, counting the final toy, available only when you get the other 68.
The story is a little unique, but not confusing. Basically, you and your little fairy friend, Nehanl, found a pig-type animal near your village. Of course, Knight (the main character) is a nice guy, so he decides to take it home. The little journey turns into a quest to save the world.
This game is well-rounded and fun to play. The replay value is okay, but not great, due to the fact that the only side quest is for the entire collection of living toys. Anyway, if you think you would like to start playing rpg's, get Guardians Crusade. If you're an rpg pro, get it anyway. Either way, it's a great game.
