"I think the prequel is better..."

Abe has returned years after his previous adventure was released. Last time we saw him escaping from a slave factory to avoid been a snack and must save his friend along the way. Poor Abe, he is at it again. The first game involved the player solving puzzles by going along in a side scroller. Its sequel, this game, forces you to go foward, go back and do something, go foward, then go back, go back foward and carry on with your quest with something you got rewarded from a puzzle.

The story in the game is about the same thing as the old game as well. Our mug is still at work in a factory (Hasn't he learned his lesson yet?) and finds out a horrible plan, just like last time. Abe and his friends are going to be eaten... again. He must get his friends and escape. Okay, it would sound good, but we have seen it all before, in his old game. Good luck on escaping, Abe!

The player controls Abe on some very long and tricky levels, where sneaking around, solving puzzles and killing/not killing your enemies is essential. What has changed since the first game, is the puzzles. They are much harder and more frustrating. You have to go back and foward, up and down levels all the time, the level is a massive maze. You must go foward, push a lever or something, go back, save a friend, kill an enemy, go foward and kill another enemy which just got released and go back to see what just happened! During the game, Abe tells his friends to follow him, he farts and even chants out an ancient language to blow the enemy brains out!

The music has gotten very boring in the game. It is no longer atmospheric. The graphics are good, But I was impressed more with the ones in the first game.

If you like puzzle and platforming games, you should play this game! Though, The first game was a lot better!

Good

Alternatives: Abes Oddysea is a prequel to this game. Muches Oddysea is a sequel to this game as well, stars both Abe and a new character. The Oddworld series is also out for the Gameboy and the Gameboy Color. Finally, if this game does not suit your taste, you could try a Metal Gear, or even Jersey Devil. Hey, that paragraph was long!
