Frogger

"Watch out for that truck!"

Remember that Seinfeld episode with George and the Frogger Arcade machine? That was a funny episode, and that was all I needed to play this game.

I first played this game at my uncle's house. My 5 year old cousin at the time just got it for his birthday the month before, and I was bored, so I went to play it. Fun, fun game, although I wanted to kick in a wall or two before I was done playing.

Gameplay: 5

This is one of those games that makes you go bald from pulling out all of your hair. It's not particularly a hard game, although I've yet to beat it. It's just frustrating that things don't go your own way. The game has 5 different levels, ranging from the lake area to the highway to a factory. It seems like a short game at first glance, but don't be fooled. You'll be sitting in front of your TV for hours. With varying speeds, the game gets more hectic, and if you don't end up in a murderous rage by the time you're done playing, I feel sorry for you.

Music: 7

The music is ok, but it gets redundant. Hearing the same stuff over and over really gets on your nerves, and when you can't beat a level, the music REALLY starts to bug you.

Control: 5

Sometimes little froggy doesn't move in the right direction that you want him to. THAT sucks, especially when you want him to go left and he goes left and lands in the lake and you die and it's your last life and it's game over and you're on the last level and it's the first time you've been there....woooo! That was a lot. Basically, it's jump and move, jump and move. Sometimes you eat too.

Replay Value: 8

This is the one good aspect of this game, the multiplayer. It gets even better if you're playing someone that sucks. You'll also want to play it over and over till you beat it, so the guys that made this game knew what they were doing.

To buy or rent...

Definitely a buy. Come on people, it's Frogger! You know what the game is like, go out and buy it!

In conclusion, this is a good game,and hey, it's a classic. Classic means good. Trust me on this, this game will always live. Get in on the Frogger fad while you can!
