"I must admit, i had higher expectations for it"
The game looked amazing from the cover, and even from the back... the introduction even went higher, but the game itself isn't much to talk about.
The introduction sets you off on the primer of the game, a building taken hostage by a group of terrorists and the chief police officer trying to communicate to his two coverts inside it, failing of course.. the line "they're now on their own" sounds pretty kewl, and the video itself is eye candy.. but the game totally disappoints you. On the intro itself the two characters are shown rather cartoonish (compared to the background) and the chick has a squeeky voice, completely different from the one in the game which is a bit deeper.. this is the first flaw i saw in the game. While talking, the characters remain "dancing around" to not say worse, they just stand there and move from side to side eventually gesticulating their hands.
Control is averagely ok, though somewhat sloppy.. a resident evil-wannabe, the figure shoots with one button.. which isn't all that great (i prefer the point and shoot), but eventually when approaching an opponent you get to pull some martial arts on them.. which looks cool but is even sloppier than shooting yer gun.
The prerendered are pretty much like those of RE, really cool.. you get to see several aspects of the building, like the office-like floors and the basement and the overall tubings and circuitry of the system halls. However, with the amazing bg's.. the polygonal overlays and their movement sheds disgrace.. they are brighter, boxier and moving around not an inch near being smooth.
You run around as one of the agents, and then eventually shifting to the other (not user defined) to accomplish other tasks, the chick has a huge dagger.. which doesn't really make you think a covert op is taking place. Anyhow, the main point of the game is advancing up through the floors, having to rumage around them to find keys in order to access other levels.. this can turn really dull in some time, dull and boring. Essentialy there isn't much else to talk about the game, its the same stuff over and over.. just in different floors, different aesthetics and different opponents. Overally the game isn't a must buy, at the much perhaps rent it, but just if you're curious enough for it.. i don't really recommend even that.
