Mega Man Legends
Review by Duel007
"The only MegaMan I have played, and the only one that looked cool"
MegaMan Legends is one kickass game. I never was really a big fan of the MegaMan series. But I borrowed this game off my friend and played it from beginning to end. The game was great.
Let me start by stating that the graphics in this game were some of the greatest looking graphics on the PlayStation. It was 3-D environment with 3-D character's. The character's showed some nice expression too. The voice acting was also very nice. The voices didn't have that scratchiness that some games have when character's voice act. The color's were kind of bright, but it kind of made it look cool. Nothing was too dark. Even the dark places that had dark backgrounds had a bright hue to them. But it was nothing major. It was kind of better that way.
The game gave you great control of MegaMan. It wasn't like some of the previous games which were side scrolling. The game was 3-D, and if you have played games such as Mario or Zelda, you may have an idea of what the control in this game was like. Well, put it this way, the game controlled like any other 3-D adventure game out there. The camera angles weren't the best, but it was something. When you ran to the side, the camera wouldn't always rotate. You would have to use the back buttons mainly to turn fully.
This was a great game. The gameplay made it one of the funnest games you will play. You crash land on an island and you must find big crystal's in mines to power your ship back up. But it becomes much more than that when a group of resistant people plan on destroying the city and killing you. You must also find the secret of the island you landed on. The game had some great weapons. The accessories gave the game some great spunk like being able to jump extra high. The game offered a LOT of things to do and you will play it for hours upon hours.
The music in this game was original. It didn't sound crappy and scratchy like some games. But the music was original and great.
This game was a great attempt. But is it really worth coming back for and playing again? I think so. This game offers great replayability.
Overall, this game gets a perfect 10. Really fun gameplay and great graphics makes this game one of the best MegaMan games up to date.
