Review by Dark Man Z

"Bad graphics, bad gameplay, bad commentary equals a bad game."

When I heard Thunder is coming out, I thought my WarZone disc would be put into the bottom of the CD pile, but when I played this game I decided that this game is the one that should be buried. Thunder combines boring gameplay with annoying commentary, which equals a bad game.

Thunder's graphics are good in one way, but bad in another. The details of the rings and the backgrounds are amazing, incredibly detailed. The wrestlers are detailed too, but they are extremely fuzzy. Another problem I had with the game's graphics is that all the wrestlers are the same size, Goldberg is same size as Kidman, which is just not right! The sound in thunder is just terrible, while the music is pretty cool, the commentary stinks. The commentators rarely say anything, and when they do, it is annoying. The most they every say is "powerbomb" or "vertical suplex".

The gameplay of Thunder isn't much better than Nitro (which isn't good). In a one on one match, the game moves way too fast. But on the battle royal (which is extremely fun), the speed is about ten times slower than the 1 on 1 match. The control isn't any help to make the gameplay better, it is really bad, so bad I can't describe it.

Thunder does have over 100 characters (half of them are made-up people), but there aren't even 100 moves to use. Every wrestler has to use the same moves, plus their own 3 trademark or finishing moves to use. But not even every wrestler has their own moves; most has to share moves. The first 32 wrestler are the only ones with their true "special" moves, and they are the only ones I ever use.

Overall Thunder is a bad game, only hardcore WCW fans would enjoy this game.
