Digimon Rumble Arena

"Super Smash Bros. only with Digimon"
This is my third review (well it would be if the ''Super Mario All-Stars & Super Mario World'' one had posted). Digimon Rumble Arena is a game with game play similar to Super Smash Bros, many people would complain about this but I on the other hand think there's nothing wrong with other companies trying to make bettter version of other games. Now on to the review:
Gameplay - 9/10
Like I said before the game play is very similar to Super Smash Bros however it has some differences. For example you can't die if you fell of the edge (you only receive damage then you warp back to the arena). Another thing is that there is a health meter instead of a percentage meter. Just like in Super Smash Bros, you can jump in midair. When you're meter fills up you can Digivolve into your Champion/Mega form for a small period of time (unless you use your finishing attack then you turn back to Rookie/Champion right away). You can pick many classic Digimon characters from Season 1 to Season 3. These characters are Agumon, Gamomon, Patamon, Gatomon, Veemon, Wormon, Guilmon, Renamon, & Terriermon. Of course there's more but you have to unlock them first.
Story - 1/10
What story? Just like Super Smash Bros. there is no story but that's okay. There's a short clip at the start though of the various Digi-Destine & Tamers fighting but it has as much point as Super Smash Bros.'intro.
Audio/Video - 9/10
The graphics are nice for a Playstation game. The animation is smooth. The voices are great. The voices for the most part match the characters, however there are some exceptions to this. The music is okay but nothing special. I would have prefer if they put in some classic Digimon songs though. The levels are designed pretty good with some unique elements like boulders that come out of the background or a level that rotates.
Replayability - 10/10
This game has tons of secret characters & it's two player so it should last a long time. Will it last as long as Super Smash Bros'? Only time will tell.
To buy or to rent? - Buy
Buy this game, some people might think differently because it's not very original but this game is very good. Especially for Digimon fans. Besides it's not very expensive, usually around $20.
Overall Score - 7 1/2
Yes it is a good game, now all we can do is play it until they come up with a sequel. That is the end of my third review, I hope you like it :)
