"The truth about Alundra"

Intro: When I first played Alundra many years ago I was totally awed by the game. Alundra is one of those games that will make you pull your hair out from playing. The gameplay in the game is some of the best I have ever witnessed.
Story (10): When reading the back of the Alundra CD case, one might come to the conclusion that the game is lame. DO NOT BY ANY MEANS come to such a conclusion. The story is indeed about a semi-elf dreamwalker named Alundra, who indeed does save people. DO NOT get the idea that this means that this is just another ''boy saves world gets girl'' bit that plagues games, books, and movies every year. Alundra's story has enough loops and turns and original stuff in it to keep even the hardest gamepros wide-eyed. Alundra's story is about a boy named Alundra who has a bit of a run in with the village of Inoa. From that point on the Dreamwalker is up to his pointy little ears with nightmares and monsters. The story has so much originality that you may forget just how stupid the back of the CD case looked.
Sound and visuals (6): You may not want to buy an Alundra soundtrack, or download sound effects for your desktop, but Alundra's sound gets the job done. The music in the game does add to the many creepy settings in the game. Almost all of the dream themes are done very nicely. Of course as in any game some of the tracks get overused, but its nothing to throw your controller over. The songs weren't really good enough to hum to though.. They got the point across but didn't get the tune stuck in your head for days... The sound effects did ok too, some were kinda blah though, and thats why this section deserves a 6. Ok who am I kidding, the graphics in the game were almost as bad as a Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen episode.. But even as bad as the graphics were I dont think I would have enjoyed the game as much had the graphics been great. The game sure did bring back a sweet taste of Zelda to my library. And even though the graphics isn't anything to write home to Ma about, they sure do hold their own.
Replayability and Value (10): Ok I am not crazy enough to try this game again without a stradegy guide. Going through the game again would be entertaining cause the gameplay isn't the same as most RPGs...It's action based, which means it is always fun to play. If I were you I would most surely buy this game cause it kicks some major booty. And when you tally up the good things about the game you will end up surprised, I would definetly say to buy this game.
Conclusion: BUY ALUNDRA! That is all I can say. Alundra is very entertaining, the way some of the newer games should be. The action is great and the story is great, everything is great. The only thing wrong with Alundra is that the graphics stink and the sound could use some work and it shares the same name as its sequel Alundra 2.
