FIFA 2000
Review by Necro
"How does it feel when watching a live soccer telecast?"
After a disastrous soccer game name 'Premier League Stars 'I was hoping it won't be the same when I popped in the CD of Fifa 2000.I was hoping high because I've been playing Winning Eleven 4 and what I feelthe game was better than Fifa 99 in term of gameplay.Expectation are high when you playing a game from EA Sports and I've been disappointed with FA Stars.God,that game was a piece of crap.I was eagerly awaiting the 2000 series and after reading almost all of the review of the game lineup for the 2000 series,I know this one will be good. But I was wrong, this one is a legend.
The graphic was great ,wow.I can't believe it.It just look like Fifa 99 for the PC with a 3d Card.I knew it because I have seen Fifa 99 played with Voodoo 3. Even with the limitation of the PSX hardware the graphic are top notch.
Sound, you know EA.It's beyond your imagination. The music, superb.Sometimes I even just wait on the menu screen during the game just to listen to the music. The theme song from Robbie Williams was great and it fit the intro FMV well.
Control of the game was just great. It differs from 99 but the basic button layout are just the same except for the shoulder button. One buuton tactics is a great way so that you don't have to push R2 with L2 and X just for the tactics.
The bad part, the pc version was always better than the PSX version .No team badges on their jersey. That's all. Conclusion,EA Sports got another king of the game.Recommended for soccer fanatics like me.One more thing ,the load time have been minimized. Go to hell with FA PL Stars because this is Total Football.
