"Can BanDai digivolve back up from their last Digimon Game? Yes!"

Digimon World 3, is a game that has the main heart, and elements of a true RPG. BanDai has made three Digimon World games in the last 3-4 years, and I believe this is the best of them all. This game is living proof that Playstation One is not dead yet.

The Story:

In the main story of the game, you take on the role of a digimon loving boy named ''Junior'' who, with his friends Ivy and Teddy, go on a new video game called Digimon Online. Basically everything is all great, until some problems occur, and hackers crack into the game and cause real problems. From there, it is up to Junior to save Digimon Online from total chaos, and destruction.

The Graphics:

The graphics on this game are very well done, considering how old the Playstation One console system is getting. The characters are made with sprites, and the battles of the game are brought out with pretty decent three dimensional animations.

The Gameplay:

The gameplay of the game is well placed, but for controlling your character, you will definitely want to use an analog joystick. The controls for options, is the best that they can get. ''START'' accesses the options menu, ''X'' initiates a command, and ''Triangle'' goes back. Also the options for the characters are well done. You can equip weapons to your digimon, set which battle level you want them to be, and check their status like any other RPG.

The game's battles are also well done. During the battle, you can fight, preform a special technique, digivolve to the next level, tag in another partner, or you can actually DNA Digivolve your digimon to a more powerful digimon for one turn, which is built like team combo's in other RPG's. There isn't much else to say about the gameplay, other than it is very, very good, and is one of BanDai's best they've done.

The Music:

The games music is very well put into it. It gets you in the mood, and reminds you of where you are in the game. For example, in a tropical area, the music is all bright, and joyful, while in a wasteland, the music is low, slow and dreary. The music is one of the games high points.

Fun Factor:

This game can be very fun, if you are a fan of digimon, or an RPG fanatic. The game may seem repetitive at times, when you need to train, but it is just like any other RPG, which makes the game even better.

In Conclusion:

Digimon fans should definately buy this. RPG fans should definitely try this game. People who hate digimon, and aren't to fond of RPGs, should still attempt this game. Never judge a book by its cover, because DMW3 is very surprising.

Buy or Rent in my opinion:

This game is a definite buy for the hardcore digimon tamers.
