FIFA Soccer 2002

It has just ended the world cup and probably soccer fans will sure want to play football in their favorite videogames, what they have are options, while some options are good and other bad, other easy, other hard, and other fifa ..... and it's what this game is .... FIFA quality game . as you have read my review for Ronaldo V-Soccer, I mentioned fifa lots of time ... but this time I'm gonna talk about Fifa 2002 only ... well this game is so easy ....

Fifa 2002 is one of those games that could be the best of the genre if it weren't for stupid mistakes made by the developers, this game has awesome graphics, great sound effects, great design, good gameplay ... but in the end these things do not really matter when difficulty system is talked about , this is the crappiest difficulty system I've seen, even more than Winning Eleven series that you can't even change the difficulty, this is probably the easiest game I've ever seen, atleast from sports genre; This game can be either the easiest game ever or the most impossible game ever, depending the difficulty level .... if you set on Amateur difficulty, be prepared that you are not gonna lose a match in this game, not only winning all the matches, but scoring monstruous number of goals ... I've scored 31 goals in a sigle match!!!! this is an absurd .. scoring is a lot easy .. the goalkeeper is a real dumbass; Once you are close enough to the goalkeeper, you can be assured that you are gonna score a goal, the idiot will either try to reach you and steal the ball which certainly fails all the time because he will give you space for scoring a goal, or he will jump to the wrong side of the goalnet and you will score ....penalty time can be a really nightmare, controling your goalkepper is a pain if the enemy is gonna give a penalty kick, do not let this intimidate you because it's nothing, giving a penalty kick is even easier than scoring a goal normally. the cpu is so easy that I don't even need to set a direction for my shot, the idiot will jump to anywhere and I will score another goal ..... easy easy easy ....
Well, Pyramid Scheme isn't as easy as in Ronaldo V-Soccer though, using Pyramid scheme is a little more complicated than in RVS, first, because you can freely move on the pitch (in RVS you have 8 directions 2 go), second that pressing the ''pass'' button doesn't pass the ball directly to the player you want as in RVS, you have to check if you can pass the ball to your fellow player or not, you gotta check if there are enemies that can steal your ball when you pass it to your teammates, you can't exactly perform a perfect pyramid scheme like in RVS because as I said, you have to be carreful when passing the ball or the enemies will get the ball.
This game has 4 speed levels, and none of them are really like the speed you see in real football (soccer for Americans), you have normal speed, normal my @$$, the players run like a turtle, and in the fastest speed level, it's like if the players have rocket shoes, and fast and faster speed levels are unregular too.. they still have a turtle speed based .. RVS has an awesome speed system, WE too, but Fifa has horrible speed system ... coming back talking about difficulty system ... there is a lot of difference between amateur level, professinal level and world class level, if you are a n00b in soccer genre, amateur is the best for you, professinal and world class are too hard for a beginner player, and too unregular for a player like me, damn, this game is so easy for me, but I am not a so good player to play professional levels..
Gameplay: - 7 - Controls are easyly learnable
Difficulty - 5 - an unregular difficulty system lets the game way too easy or way too hard.

This game may be easy , But there are some things that Fifa 2002 has of splendid, it's the graphics and a bit of the sounds. The best part is really the graphics, they may be not as good as the fifas for ps2, dc or gc, but they are top notch for psx.. yes??? a big no ....they are crappy compared to winning eleven graphics, WE graphics are plain overrealistic, FIFA players look a lot like Paper dolls alive, but good paper dolls nevertheless, realistic paper dolls though, I admit these paper dolls act quite realistic when playing, making some moves that look like the real footballers, but nothing like WE, but they are better than RVS players though. The pitch grass is also excelent for a psx game, why they don't look as extraordinary as for pc,gc,ps2,xbx versions, it looks alright for a p0or 32b console.
The sound is good and realistic, and not annoying, atleast until you score a goal, the sound of the cheer of the supporters is annoying you will feel like wanting to change the game's volume .... the commentaries are plain horrible, simply because they aren't in English, they are in German, Dutch,or any other language that I can't understand anything of, I dunno why they did that, but not having commentaries in English sucks.
Graphics - 7 - Good for psx power, but nothing you haven't seen before and nothing that WE doesn't have
Sound - 6 - Neither bad, neither good sound effects ... just average sound.

Well, FIFA 2002 got an giant number of teams, basically most of the teams that have participated world cups or atleast have a good team, even some real stinkers are in like some Israel F.Cs, Oh Man, so many teams in the game, but so many crappy ones too, they forgot putting Brazilian F.Cs that are A LOT better than the crappy Israel F.Cs .... well atleast your favorite team of Italy, Germany, France, Spain are in the game. This means you will be able to play with Real Madrid., play some matches ''CLUB VS WORLD TEAM'', ''CLUB VS CLUB'' or ''WORLD TEAM VS WORLD TEAM'' you decide ....but not puting Brazilian Clubs is ridiculous.
This game has the normal game modes a FB game has, league, cup, tournaments ...first off, there is no World Cup in this game, even if you qualify in the ''qualification for world cup''mode, you won't be able to play the world cup .... this mode is just to see if you could qualify for WC if you were in the real life, well, but it has ''custom cup'' mode, well you can made your own cup here ... like the real world cup, but you can choose the teams that will participate.
Although having all those modes for your fun, don't expect it to last long, because truly, this game is a piece of cake and you will get tired of it easily.
This game is an insult to football.... if you respect footbal, do not even pronounce the name of this game.
