Alien Resurrection

"A very dark and addictive game!"

This game rocks!! This is an underappreciated game by fox interactive. This game hasn't gotten any recongnition whatsoever. This game was announced back in 97' but wasn't released until three years later. I think the game is worth buying. This game should go in your game collection. One thing, this game was originally supposed to be a third person game, but was totally redone to be a first person shooter. The graphics look much better than in the early shots of the game. I love the good character variety. The characters are: Ripley, Call, Distephano, and Christie. You'll be playing as Ripley 7 out of 10 levels. (which is alot). This is a great improvement over the graphics and sound from the previous game, Alien Trilogy also for the Playstation. This is a must have for any playstation owner!!

Graphics: Outstanding! The enemies look good (Especially the aliens). The weapon designs were taken straight from the movie and look almost identical!! One noteable positive side is the facehuggers. They look freaky that close to the screen, which adds to the surprising moments. This makes your heart skip a beat. The environments could have been a little better though. The aliens are designed very well and are very detailed.

Value: This game is worth every penny!! One down side is that there are only ten levels which may dissapoint some gamers, but the levels are long and require some backtracking and some switch flipping to discover new areas. One of the best things is the amount of aliens to kill. You can experiment with many weapons to kill aliens with which adds to the fun.

Sound: This is where the game really shines! The weapons sound great! The distant sound of an alien roaring sends chills through your spine. When your character gets hit, they make certain sounds. Your motion tracker gets louder and faster when an enemy is near.

Control: This is the weaker side of the game. If you have an analog controller, you havee turn analog on to switch weapons! This also changes the other controls. It isn't so bad once you get used to the controls.

Overall: This game is worth the money. This gives you a reason to keep your old Playstation. Despite some control problems, this game will provide hours of alien killing and marine blasting action. You must own this excellent game
