Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories
Review by XeroXtancy
"A fine way to duel..."
Introduction
------------------------------------
If you like regular Yu-Gi-Oh card dueling you're going to love this game. Even though this game was release in 1996 it's still a great game. Why? After playing it again and again, here's what I think of it.
Graphics 9/10
------------------------------------
Finally you can see your monster in 3D. Almost all the monsters look like the card only a few look different. This game has great graphics for a PS game. The graphics would be a perfect ten if all the monster look like the card.
Story 8/10
------------------------------------
Might contain some spoiler.
The story is okay. It's about a young prince in ancient Egypt trying to save his land from an evil bad guy. In order to do so he has to travel around and duel mage to get all the Millennium Items. He found out... I'll stop right here. There isn't much to the story but it's still okay.
Gameplay 9/10
------------------------------------
The gameplay is the best in the game. For those of you who watch the show the gameplay is not the same. The only bad things about the gameplay is there are only 722 cards. Other than that it's great. Now you can fusion cards anytime you want. Another things is great is that you can use your real Yu-Gi-Oh card to help you beat the game. Did I mention you can also Duel and Trade a friend.
Replayabled 6/10
------------------------------------
Once you beat the game a couple of times it gets very boring when you play it again. Because you already know who are you going to duel next. It's a little better than the other games because you get different cards as you did last time. But you don't have to start over. Once you beat the game you can just continue dueling the person you have already beaten.
Difficulty 9.5/10
------------------------------------
This is not as easy as you think it is. Why? When you first begin the opponent monster have about 800 attack point, but suddenly they start to use cards over 3000! You have to duel have to duel like 50 times just to get a good card. But if you have some password to buy cards it will make it a little less difficult. But some good cards can cost over 10000 star chips! That's a lot of duels. This game will take sometime before you can beat it. Trust me this game isn't that easy as you think.
Music/Sound Effect 6/10
------------------------------------
The music will be very good when you just played the game, but it'll get a little annoying sometime. I think there are about 5 different kinds of music in the entire game.
Controls 6/10
------------------------------------
The controls can be a little difficult to learn. But after you play the game a lot the controls will be a cinch.
Buy or Rent
------------------------------------
I suggest you rent this game first and see how you like it. Who know I could be wrong. But you won't be able to finish it unless you re rent it. So try it out and see how you like it first.
Overall 9/10
------------------------------------
This game isn't that bad. Once you start playing you'll be hook on the game. Yu-Gi-Oh is the best card game ever created. But keep in mind that this is only my opinion so you can do what you want. Thanks for reading my review.
