The Italian Job

"Good game with a few problems."

Once in a while when I'm on Gamefaqs I like to go browsing looking at games then this one day I came across a game called the Italian Job,I was interested with the story line and since most of the people that played it liked it I decided I should get this game. A couple of days later I saw it at Funcoland for $10, so I thought good deal and bought it. I then went home and put it into my PlayStation and then proceeded to play. Now for the review.

Story- It's 1969 and your in London, you’re playing as a man named Charlie Crocker, he has just finished three 3 years in the doghouse, so instead of working his butt off back into society and earning a dollar the honest way he comes up with the idea to steal $4,000,000. I don't want to give the entire story away so that's all I'll tell you.

Game play-This game is pretty good in the game play department but sometimes I just got irritated with some of the mission's, sometimes I just wanted to go roaming around the city on foot, but unfortunately this game doesn’t give you the freedom GTA3 does.
That’s the only problem I had with game play but other than that the game play is good.

Sound-This is the only part I really hated. The accents in this game get annoying very fast, I got so annoyed by their voices I had to put my TV on mute so I wouldn’t have to hear them. Muting helped me get through the game because not only are the accents annoying but so is the music, hearing it a couple of times was okay but hearing them over and over again made you want to rip out your eardrum. The other sounds in this game are well done but if it weren’t for the accents and music this section would have gotten a better rating.

Graphics- They aren’t the best that PSX could do (Driver 2 in my mind looks better) they aren’t that bad either in fact they’re pretty good. The only thing that I don’t like is that when your car gets damaged it doesn’t look like it’s damaged. You could keep ramming into a wall and nothing could happen to the hood of the car it looks like if you just waxed it. That’s all I have to say about the graphics of the game.

Overall this is a good game considering its $10 dollars so I say instead of renting it just buy it since it isn’t really that expensive.
