"KISS now in Pinball form!"

Kiss is a great rock band from the '70s. Now they are in a pinball game that lacks fun.

Gameplay

The controls are simple to learn- L1 for left flipper and R1 for right flipper. The X button shoots the ball. The fun of this game lasts a few days(possibly a few hours for some). Pinball on a system, isn't that great of an idea. It would have worked a whole lot better, if pinball was a mini-game.

Its basically the same thing each time you play. Hit the ball, score points, hit the ball some more, score more points, repeat. Doing the same thing over and over and over is pretty dull.

Story

Its a pinball game, not that much of a story. There is 2 Pinball game modes to choose from...

''Last Stop Oblivion'' - Kiss are in town for a concert. You must help them get better in several ways. You can upgrade their transportation for a bonus. Earn kiss points to buy items for more bonuses. Unlock tours to go to, for even more bonuses.

''Netherworld'' - Kiss must fight the Dark Lord in this game. You must save lost souls, kill minions, unlock bonuses and thats about it.

In each mode there is several types of games to play, they differ slightly.

Novice- You get 5 pinballs for this, the ball saver is active for a few minutes.

Regular- Same as novice with added features. Extra pinballs, end of game score matching and powerball bonus.

Arcade- 3 pinballs with extra ball based on scores

Tournament- Random game with no extra balls.

Sound

The sound is basic and can get annoying. It makes noise each time you hit the ball, each time ball hits something and each time ball falls. There is some voice overs from Kiss members, but they are very limited. You also have the chance to listen to a music cd when your playing the game.

Replayability

Not much replay value in this game. 2 games to play alot, if you actually don't get bored with this game. No 2 player option at all. No real secrets to unlock. The only thing for replay is beating high scores. I don't think there is even a way to beat each game, it seems to go on forever.

To Buy or to Rent?

If you like Kiss or pinball games, at least somewhat- rent. I wouldn't suggest this as a game to buy. It gets boring after a little bit. A failure to pinball games.

So either, rent this(if you can find it at a rental store) or just avoid it. Your not missing anything, if you don't play this game ever.
