Aquanaut's Holiday

"Totally Underwarted!"

Just about all of us have fancied a holiday somewhere, some of us in the heart of somewhere warm, some in countries with different laws and some people would like to spend a week on the moon. But have you ever wanted to spend a holiday underwater in a submarine? Maybe not, Maybe yes, Maybe you havn't thought about it but Aquanaut's Holiday puts you in place of a submarine, exploring a huge underwater world, examine fish, plants, rocks, caverns and the wonderful fish world.

Aquanaut's Holiday does not contain a few hundred goldfish, it contains tropical fish, sea enemy, sharks, star fish, eels, you name it. You can explore for days, weeks and even months finding more fish life, the area is so big, you might not even encounter the same spot twice for a long, long time.

Aquanaut's Holiday does sound a bit boring, but it is one of the only Playstation games which you can relax, have a look around the kingdom without being shot dead or running out of time, the world is your oyster (Bad joke, I am sorry) and you can explore everything, all the detail you lot. Not only can you explore the depth's of the ocean, you can open up your own coral reef, complete with fish and food. Building a coral reef is NOT compulsary, you do not have to do it however it is quite fun and challenging, but you can still explore the underwater world without building a reef.

The ammount of detail the developers have put in to this game is outstanding. Although it is not the Shenmue of the Playstation, Just about the entier world is made up of a great ammount of detail, this includes the ground, stones, walls and fish, wonderful! The sound and music also add a relaxing theme, it is all quiet, peaceful and wonderful to listen too (Although when I first got the game, I didn't listen to it much as the christmas tree kept singing, yet it was christmas time and we had a singing tree).

If you own a Playstation, you should check out this bargain, it can help rid of stress belive it or not, although you cannot rid your anger out on the fish, you can only swim with them, you cannot hurt them or fish for them, which would have really spoiled the game!

Good:

- A game where you spend your holidays under-water
- No health bar or time limit, do what you want
- With the coral reef, it is two games in one
- A Gigantic world to explore

Bad:

- Definatley under rated.
- No dolphins... everyone likes Dolphins... why no dolphins?

Alternatives: There is Aquanaut's Holiday 2 and Aquanaut's Holiday: Memories of Summer 1996 (I have no idea what that is though). Other then that, all I can recommend is a fishing game or Pokémon Snap.
