WarGames: Defcon 1

"A must game for...... anyone"

Story
In Wargames, there is a war going on between two teams, the Norad (Humans) and the W.O.P.R. teams. You play all the teams missions in a fight to win the war between these two teams. Each team has all there different kinds of boats, hovercrafts, ships and tanks.

Gameplay- 8/10
Great, the controls are very easy to remember, but it is a button blaster, you have to basically hold down the one button all the time, and you are always in a massive fight, that really is a little let down to the game, your finger gets sore after a while. the game is fun, because you kill people with all different war machines. A very enjoyable game to play and I would recommend it highly to all my friends.

Graphics- 9/10
Actually, quite good, very detailed in some parts and give the effect of rain and snow. very long and detailed maps as well. The background music is also good and sometimes even reflects the war music, like the sirens when on Defcon 1. It makes the game a whole lot better and mixes the type of levels around, like Desert, islands, snowfields, towns and lots more settings that are well detailed.

This has two different teams to play, each with 15 levels, so it makes it interesting. Also, you can verse a friend in a death match OR, this is one of my favourite features: A 2 player co-operitive missions, you both control a vehicle and any unused vehicles can be gotten into, but only if they are on your team. This makes the game more fun, being able to play with a friend. The two player mode isn't really easier than the 1 player mode, it's probably the same, even though you have someone to help you. Another great feature is you don't have to save your game, it gives you passwords, this is good if you have got a full memory card or if you like to use cheats you could get your friends if they have finished the game, because all the passwords for 1 level is the same on every game and console.

Playable- 9/10
Once finished the game, you will want to play it again and again, because it is alot of fun and can get addictive. Someone on the message board got this game with their ps console and still play it sometimes. Defenitely woth the money you bought it for.

Overall- 9/10
A absalute thriller, a great game and I reccomend it to anyone who loves shooting games, in fact, anyone. Lots of fun and very enjoyable to play with all the war machines.
