Dance Dance Revolution Konamix
Review by Hackmast
"The Revolution Continues..."
You put your right leg in, you take your right leg out, you put your left leg in and shake it all about. Than you take both legs, and put them to test. To see if your the master of Dance Dance Revolution Konamix. It's back, a new version of Dance Dance Revolution for the U.S.. Take the best Arcade game home now, for your PlayStation Console. With new songs, new characters, and new modes. Do you have skill? Why don't you take it to the floor with a dancing match.
Gameplay 10/10:
This version of Dance Dance is the best out right now for U.S. PlayStation. It's coming back with some of your old favorite songs, and a lot of new songs, that will soon be your favorite too. With new characters, and new challenges. There's 3 different difficulty's; Basic, Trick, and Maniac. You can also play 2 players too, to see if your better than your friend. There's also a double mode, were 1 player plays a song using both game pads. There's also a editing mode in the game which is my favorite part, where you can make steps for a song. The game plays out good just like the others, so if you played the others, than this should be a piece of cake for you. If this is your first time, than it should be no problem, because this game is easy to learn and fun.
Sound 10/10:
Of course the music is good. That's what this game is about. More than 40 songs to choose from, you will never get bored hearing them. You can really get into a groove with most of this, you will notice your self become a dancing maniac with this game, like you will shake your arms about, and start turning around and stuff. Just try not to pay more attention to the music, than your to the arrows. If you like the music so much, like me, go get the soundtrack than.
Control 10/10:
It's pretty simple. All you use are the up, down, right, and left buttons on the dance mat. It might get confusing at first, because you might not be adjusted to what foot goes to what arrow, but you will get over time. Just start out on a basic song that is slow, so you can get your footing right for the controls. Once you did that, you can began faster songs, and will learn to be able to move faster on the pad, making it so your master at the controls.
Graphics 9/10:
For PlayStation graphics, these are good. Especially how there's so much stuff going on, that you would think they would of did a bad job with them. They didn't though. The characters have a very detailed and smooth body, some what pointy, but not to much. The backgrounds are great, but some time distracting to your gameplay. So try not to look at the characters, or background while playing, you will just get screwed up.
Overall 10/10
This is the best Dance Dance game out there right now for the U.S. that you can bring home. I would have to say any fan of DDR should get this. With new challenges, and songs. Makes the game great. Take it from me this game is great, especially challenging your friends. I've at least played 200-300 hours of this game. It is very addicting at times. Don't even think about, and just go get it.
